The thing in The Mist didn't have a head. I don't know, but I think that the tentacles earlier in the movie are supposed to be part of it, which makes sense, because how else would this sucker eat if it's as big as it is in the movie. and I think the eyes were on the tentacles too.

the large monster did have a head lol
watch it again.. on the LEFT side of it it has a huge head.. and when it makes noises you can see the mouth moving and the eyes are on the head
its SOOO visible to see but i didnt see it either until like the 3rd time i watched the movie:|
It's so finely detailed we are busy looking at its legs moving and those tentacles waving around!

I watched it again and you're right! It does. Wonder how it gets food up there. Maybe there's really tall plants or something wherever it's from.

yep.. its got a head. its on the left side if you are looking through camera view and slanted slightly below its shoulders. pause it, and take a minute to look at it.
