This game was awesome, although I never got the hang of it. I never liked too much of a challenge and I am still a coward when it comes to gaming (OK, maybe in other respects too :-P). I have been looking for the amazing music of the first stage (repeated in other stages too, I know) on and off for over a year now. Does anyone have any ideas on where I could find it, without gameplay sounds interrupting it (although I do admit they have their charm too)?
I remember , this was not only the greatest game on Amiga, but also a test...and the users failed it. Conclusion: Never ever games from Thailon, the nail to Amigas coffin.
Never got the chance to play this game but I heard a lot about it. I too was a huge fan of Shadow Of The Beast and this obviously has just taken what Psygnosis invented and given it a makeover.Very much the same style with the same tricks.
The Amiga was an amazing machine. Light years ahead of it's time in every aspect. I think the disc swapping aspect is the only fault I can find with it! Wonderfull machine, wonderfull games, wonderfull times!
@Krenzathal umh, you didn't play this game but still you say it's just a makeover of SoB. I suggest you to try it out, you will notice that the gameplay is light years ahead of SoB 1 and 2 (It got much better on the 3rd title, which I love). I would say it's a game closer to turrican than to SoB. Also, talking about tricks and graphics, this is also light years ahead. You'll never find in any level of SoB the amount of on screen colors you can find on lionheart :-)
I still have my A500 and lionheart. A great game that still impresses today - in a 2D sort of way. Just check out the amazing lava level and end game sequence!
lol.. The game is LionHeart and was released for the Amiga Computer back in about 1994. The Amiga was the BEST gaming platform & Computer EVER!. To give you some idea, this game is running on Amiga hardware that was released in 1985 !!. Just so you know where this machine came from though, do you remember the Commodore 64 ??? Well the next major machine by them was the Commodore Amiga.
I am crying, really... well, I prefer Shadow of the Beast expecially for the musics and graphic style, but Lionheart seems to run on a Sega Saturn!! :D
Yep i definately agree with the Music being better in Shadow of the Beast on Amiga, and when it comes to graphics style, for me SOTB and Lionheart are on par with eachother. I know what you mean about crying too.. Anything Amiga related just sends me back, and there will nothing that will ever come close technology wise that gave me the same feeling the Amiga did. Im a bit confused by your Sega Saturn comment though?.. You mean you can get Lionheart running on a Saturn from an Amiga??.
There was a new line of Amiga's also released in late 1992, and recently the Amiga Won in a demo competition against the latest PC's. The amazing thing here is, it beat them on hardware that is 14 years old. :) Go to this link to see how it won.
Ive just noticed too that your from America, so if your wondering why you never heard of the Amiga its because it never made it big in the USA, it was mainly big in Europe and down here in Australia.
Ooh such a pretty game...

Amiga gamers preferred to buy tedious, mind-numbing football management games instead - the saps...
