  • Do you find the IS on the 70-200 f4 usefull?

  • @TheLittleWorldofGaz yes. I found it vital. Without it, you need a tripod. With it you don't.. Get the IS, it is worth every penny.

  • One day I'll fly away - leave this all to yesterday. Beautiful duude

  • This is an awesome.. just beautiful short film.

  • Simply amazing... thank you so much for sharing.

  • Excellent work, Good luck andreas. Well dear i want to buy the same, what do you advice me ? Is it a good camera indeed?

    please reply

    shashi.

  • For the price it is simply excellent.. The image quality is not far off from my fathers 5dII, (unless it is really dark). It could have better (faster) autofocus, and the kit lens is not the best. But overall for the price it takes excellent pictures. I really reccomend it. As well as the lenses I have. 70-200 f4 IS and the tamron 17-50 f2.8

  • many thanks dear, i appreciate.

    shashi.

  • Hi, very nice. At what distance you were from the elephant at 3:12? Thanks!

  • She was very close.. 4-6 meters maybe. Thanks for the nice comment.

  • incredibly nice card, really nice:) also have a Canon 500D and looking to get me a kind of lens you have. do you think they mesh well together

  • Thanks.

They work really well together, especially size wise. I really love that lens, and would recommend it to anyone. Its just great. So solid, such sharp photos. I love it. I guess the autofocus system in the 500d isn't as great as maybe the lens deserves, but it will still give you great shots. And the image quality of the 500d really shows when you pair it with such a nice lens.

  • incredible shots, what uv filter are you using?

  • Thank you very much.

My 70-200 lens has a B+W Mrc UV filter on it. A really nice filter, especially useful in the dusty savannah.

The 17-85 did not have a UV filter on it, but I did not use that lens as much as the 70-200. Dont htink it matters as far as image quality is concerned, but when you need to clean your lens all the time, its nice to have that extra layer of glass.

  • So nice !

Did you record the video in 720p or in 1080p ?

    Thank you for your reply

  • Thanks alot.

I recorded it in 720p, the 1080p mode on the 500d is just not smooth enough in my opinion.

  • thanks and what software did you use to edit it ?

  • Sony Vegas for the rough cut, then Apple Motion afterwards to stabilize some video shots, and for the text.

    Andreas
