  • There's one of these in my towns CPR yard, but they usually just use a Jordan spreader pushed by a GP-9u

  • it looks like a train

  • also, there are variation of these same design used in the Canadian Rocky Mountains to plow avalanches. The have shorter top in front of the cupola, slanted front windows, and bars on the front windows to keep tree branches, trunks and rocks from breaking glass.

  • this plow pushed by an engine, was home built in Canadian Pacific Railways shops in Montreal in the 1920s. They have been plowing snow with these plows since. Some are made for double track, they throw most of the snow to one side. This plow throws to both sides, has a nose that drops between the rails, and wings that can be put out to widen the path. These are air operated by 2 guys in the plow, with air from locomotive. I have worked these in Canada many times in my 37 yr career as a trainman.

  • Dang, it just LOOKS cold there! Sweet video

  • Maybe somewhere along Rte 20

  • stucked ? :D :D

  • Where was this taken?

  • That train is awsome, but ITS SLOW AS FUCK!!

  • He is approaching a crossing, so sometimes, by law they have to come to a complete halt before proceeding, especially during winter months. But, this doesnt apply to all railroads.

  • Thanks

  • Wow that is one nasty looking train! too cool!
