Listening to the lyrics that Greg Graffin wrote when he was 15 makes me feel so bad about myself. I'm 15 and I still need a Thesaurus when I listen to BR.
It's a great album. It's sad that the punkers couldn't understand the whole branching out into more "experimental" music. It was the same with Black Flag when Rollins joined in. All the punks gave them shit for having long hair and playing 10 minute jams. The punks had no attention span at all whatsoever.
Greg Graffin is the shit. No doubt about it, he is my fav guy in any and all music scenes. I would love to meet him and tell him how fucking much he fucking rocks.
camera man laughs cuz their album chasing the wild goose had lots lots of keyboard and didnt do really well although i think gregs writing in that album was in the evolution procCes and still amazing lyrics
Holy shit. I've watched his interviews, seen him talk about his book, accept awards, rock out, all sorts of other stuff, but I've never imagined Greg Graffin making pancakes for his kids and their friends on Saturday morning...
That just kinda makes me smile and feel happy. It's always so sobering when you hear about a celebrity doing something so "regular".
True. In hindsight celebrity was a really inaccurate term. Musician or artist fits better, although he crosses some boundaries being a professor and doing some writing. Classification isn't important so much as hearing a very down-to-earth anecdote about someone who I admire and whose work I enjoy.
I saw Bad Religion live in Anahiam maybe 8 years ago. What I took away from the concert that I loved best was Greg Gaffin is such a fucking dork. He doesn't try to be punk, or appeal to any one specificly, he is just up there being himself. I have loved BR sense I was 15, and 10 years later it looks like that will never change.
@YOUPUBEISGAY dude.. punk is a philosophy, a way of life, just not music.. get your stuff straight man.. dont try to correct @zeroprobablityvids, he is right.. your wrong, simple as that.
@Demosthene182 No "Dude" It's A Philosophy To Kids Who Try And Be Cool And Anarchy And All That Bullshit. Define To Me Then What Is The Philosophy Of Punk.
@YOUPUBEISGAY living a punk lifestyle isnt just about dressing "cool" if you know people who dress "punk" just to be cool.. punch them in the face. the philosophy is anarchy, its trying to bring those who oppress down, being whoever the hell you want to be and not caring what people have to say.. seriously man.. get educated about punk.. if you like the music thats cool.. but dont try to tell people what they believe in isnt real.. :P
I love BR and I like Into the Unknown, but I wonder what Bad Religion would've become if Into the Unknown was their debut album instead of the EP and How Could Hell Be Any Worse...
it was an interesting album, and its one of the many reasons i love BR they've messed around with it all, they were hardcore, they were experimental punk, they now become the melodic punk we know and love and they are the driving force on one of the most sucessful indie labels ever and they've been around the major label market aswell, easiely the most experienced punk band haha
A Little-big punk-rocker,it seems he had his insight into things from the very birth...yeah the same voice, the same self-presentation,the same smile...and a lot of hair!!!

Punk is a subculture AND a music genre! Not the same thing, but it's called the same.

punk is not a fashion, its a feeling, any one can be a punk doesnt mean you have to wear a mohawk, color your hair, or wear a leather jacket.

Musicians are celebrities, don't be ridiculous. And Bentley, I don't know where your dad was, but I am willing to bet it wasn't at your spelling bee.

I like that he's really grounded, for being a punk rock enthusiast. I think it's strange that he looks like Tom Cruise.
