Alright, the symbol on his chest represents the house of El and he got this from Jor-El when Clark disobeyed his orders. And Clark is on red Kryptonite to try to lose the guilt of Jonathan and Martha losing their baby in an explosion( created by Clark when he tried to destroy his spaceship to get rid of Jor-El). actually the symbol on his chest is for the house of el. Thats why zod and everyone else have different symbols. It was the red k that stripped him of his inabitions. He was not actually kal-el here, he was clark kent on red k.

Apparently noone watches smallville. This is not Kal-el. Its Clark Kent on red krytonite. His father made a deal with jor-el in order to bring him home and stop his rampage. The episode is season 3 episode 1. Its called Exile. ;)

Linoel Luthor took the role as Clarks father figure by being a vessel for Jor-el and he died by Lex's hand. Lex found out Clark's secret and well you get where I'm going, Smallville has a bad habit formula for people who find out Clark's secret. still an amazing show tho

Zods two disciples knew how to use heat vision the minute they touched down, his army knew how to fly and use superspeed the minute their powers were aqquired so why the hell do they drag it on so long for Clark
