  • ok how the hell do you get these vids onto your on page or is that not possible

  • @deewilki I tell you ! I play the old songs on an old radio-grammophone, which plays 78:rpms and record them on tape. I take the tape to a newer stereo, which I've connected to my computer. I use the aux as input, so I can transfer the sound digital. I get the sound in digital format, into my computer. I have the song, so I just use Moviemaker, and I put some pictures to it. You find the pictures on Internet ! That's all ! Thanks for the comment and listening ! Peace ! Urban

  • @kickingmule ur from europe, country is popular over there?

  • @WVliberty Yes, country its very popular, we in Sweden has something called "Dance Bands". The play a sort of country at dancing places. Sorry to say,. I don't like their sound, but we also have true country, blue-grass, and other American influenced bands.

    So, please, stay cool !

The country music is alive, all over the world !

    Peace !

    Urban

  • @kickingmule Hasil Adkins, a rockabilly singer that started playing music in the 50s was more popular in Europe than he was here in America, He lived a county below me where im from in the coalfields of West Virginia. I never knew country was real popular in europe until i started to listen to him and other country/bluegrass musicians on youtube. Look up Hasil he was a crazy son of a bitch,

    Peace

  • @WVliberty Thanks, a very good comment with much facts. I like that. Ya, country blues has always been popular here in Europe. But the bands can't be compared to the US ones, of course.

    I'll check up your proposal.

Nice place to live, Appalachia, isnt it ?

I have a good friend there, Suze.

Small World nowadays isnt it ?

  • Thanks so much, Urban (Kicking Mule), we appreciate your contribution to on-line old-time music! Without people out there like you, many people who would not otherwise have the opportunity to be exposed to this rare and obscure music are now able to enjoy it!

We posted two video responses of our version of "Country Blues" just now: one filmed live at a show; the other recorded at home in our front-room. Thanks again!
