I hate that if I don't spoon feed the ideal in a video, someone deconstructs my mentality incorrectly.
Obviously, I meant part of the ideal was the stigma placed upon it. I obviously don't believe in a deity, as my life would be inherently easier if I did. The reason I don't like the label of an atheist is because it's stifling and there are just as many pussy atheists as there were pussy Christians. I don't like to be associated with those people. Fuck any collective.
I know what you mean, I call those people atheisteens.
But then again I happen to live in a culture where religion is pretty much meaningless; the shock value of the statement is zero, so I can't help but see them as silly little kids.
I've never done anything for the simple reason of defying authority. I do things that have the extra added goodness of defying authority, but I do them for separate reasons. To me, Atheism is exactly what a dictionary would describe it: The lack of belief in a supreme deity. I don't believe in any God, so I am an atheist. It scares some people, yes, but that was never why I took up the title. Just a reaction from society to who I am.

Here, here. I agree. The moment you join a collective your individuality is compromised.
