I was about 3-4 at the time in spain in a hotel, I was running towards the elevator the doors opened and I bumped into a pair of legs. I looked up young and stupid not knowing who he was, and looked back at my dad shaking like mad, he was star struck, because I bumped into George Best's legs, and he said sorry to me.

But in footballing terms he had the magic in his boots to turn a game and score goals from anywhere on the pitch leaving defenders bewildered as to how to stop him. I am not a United fan but I was mesmorised when he took the field. If George were playing today he would still be up there as the BEST. What a guy and what a great player. I couldn't give a rats arse about his off-field incidents. The guy enjoyed himself and made mistakes like most human beings would in that situation.
