War is rationalized violence against another group of people. Animals are not self-conscious of their actions. We organize mass killings and then glorify them as victories. Ants and other animals are not conducting warfare, they are simply reacting to their immediate environment.

Characterizing all wars as mass killings which are glorified by the victors is not just. War itself is derived from the primal instincts of man. I concede that humans give undue symbolism to war, but war itself is not an act of barbarism. Nature is full of instances that constitute "mass killings". Violence is not unique to man.

I really like Godspeed You! Black Emperor as well. Little slower and has longer songs, but the movements remind me of classical music. It has some real extreme talent. But Like you said, each has their own sound and GIAA and jakob are both great!

Our civilized and modern world has a lot of misunderstood concepts like god, like humanity, like peace. But ı don't know the truth either. So much has been imagined that some only have very little Knowledge about how much is Imagined & how complex yet simplistic "this" really is. Making sense of Nonsense is how you get no where fast.

much rather listen to GIAA than GS!BE. their self titled is a MASTERPIECE. i can listen to that whole thing through without losing focus at all. shadows, echoes, no return, zodiac just to name a few songs.. if you like GIAA listen to FMTM... get 'on little known frequencies' and learn it off by heart and then just feel happy..

I really like Godspeed You! Black Emperor as well. Little slower and has longer songs, but the movements remind me of classical music. It has some real extreme talent. But Like you said, each has their own sound and GIAA and jakob are both great!

We are trying to achieve the wrong things, if you ask me.
Although, there is much lying going on everywhere, and the world as we know it creates psychological diseases and suffering.
I think we need to all sit down, shut the fuck up and change pretty much of what is going on here.

My favorite melody on this masterpiece of a debut by GIAA, as well as the album title-track.......the End of the Beginning. All their work is worth a listen, but this one is special!
