The Dalai Lama is supposed to be a Buddhist. Why does he find solace in the arms of wealth and power in the western world?

China has done some terrible things, and they should in fact own up to them, but I think that last bit of the clip was a little over the top. The PRC did invade Tibet, then a de facto independent nation since the fall of the Empire, and has since kept it under tight watch. They've also encouraged the settling of the outer regions with mostly Han Chinese, which is only natural since the coast is so crowded. That does not, however, excuse them from treating Tibet & the Tibetan people with respect.

The Dalai Lama is supposed to be a Buddhist. Why does he find solace in the arms of wealth and power in the western world?

China has done some terrible things, and they should in fact own up to them, but I think that last bit of the clip was a little over the top. The PRC did invade Tibet, then a de facto independent nation since the fall of the Empire, and has since kept it under tight watch. They've also encouraged the settling of the outer regions with mostly Han Chinese, which is only natural since the coast is so crowded. That does not, however, excuse them from treating Tibet & the Tibetan people with respect.

The Terra Cotta Warrior came out of the earth in perfect condition, just like the First Emperor of China had them put in the ground. They were painted in all color. The Chinese building have skylights that allow the exhibition exposure to sunlight which has caused almost all the color to fade. When I saw them they were just grey like the sky of Beijing-No color at all. That is the truth.

I know a German who came to my country. She learnt English VERY quickly because she had no choice.
I also know people who went to the US for a short time. When some of them came back their accent has changed.

To them this is quite normal. It was part of their education. Just the other day, a PRC stooge said to me, "You stinking Taiwanese dog - I can't believe that Chinese blood runs through your veins." This kind of comment is quite normal for most Chinese, and I encounter it very often.
