I visited Carrboro many times where Cycle 9 is located. This is one of the most bike friendly communities in the country. Bike lanes are everywhere. The driving public is progressive and supportive of cyclists. Unfortunately, not every community is like Carrboro so bike commuting is not realistic for most people. Despite this, I always plan where I live so I can integrate bicycling, walking and public transportation as my first choices before driving a car.
