I was recently in Frankfurt, and I will say frankly that Frankfurt has a slightly higher skyscrapers, but Warsaw has a lot more, well, and among these towers is a beautiful Palace of Culture. Warsaw is almost like New York
@pelpliniak1 i can't change you're opinion but the fact that you give are wrong, Frankfurt has in total 60 skyscrapers and 5 buildings above 200 meters. And Warsaw has in total 50 skyscrapers and 2 buildings are above 200 meters. I already said, I can't change your opinion but it's correctly Frankfurt is number 1 and Warsaw is number 5.
After searching/viewing almost 20 related videos to night *skylines period,,, Lord knows I finally landed on the right video!!! OH HOW I JUST LOVE IT!!! Thanks for posting,,, I can go to sleep now ;)
i like Frankfurt (of course), but also Rotterdam but they're missing some 200+ buildings, Warsaw and Moscow without those communist buildings, Paris with the Eiffel Tower and La Defense.
Madrid, well i don't know, their skyline is like 4 big towers and that's it. Liverpool was a big positive suprise for me. Also was The Hague.
London can't give me a feeling like: YEAH that's the nicest skyline i've ever seen, yes it's not bad but there are 2 clusters and the buildings aren't really impressive
hahahahahahahah!!!!!!!!!!!!! italian skylines????? ahhahahah madrid orrible paris orrible warsaw orrible !!!!!!!!!!!!!! add italian skyline!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes, today Milan would get a place among these cities (but not in 2009), Naples closely fails and other cities like Genova, Brescia, Rome or San Gimignano (;)) definitely aren't Top 20 material...
@markop9711 don't be jealous man,Warsaw has so many skyscrapers.Central Warsaw looks so modern, and the TALLEST building growing up in Warsaw..come to see.Greetz from Poland
OMG poland is so beautiful .. The one thing i like is that WARSAW Poland has trees ! green trees makes the city prettier ! not like other usa cities only brick thats all :) oh and fake trees .lol
The biggest european cities are ( Based on UN 2010) London (12+million) Paris(10 millions) Madrid (7millions) . Moscow would be the first if you count oriental europe
I wasn´t expecting that piece of London awesomenes at 8:38!
Also, been to Benidorm many times with the Gran Hotel Bali shooting a beam of light into the dark sky. And just one question Why didn´t you have Berlin in there? It hasn´t got that many skyscrapers, but the Fernsehturm is quite a cool sight.
u should look at Turning Torso in Malmö, Sweden wich is 190 m high! And btw Stockholm is planning to build some very high skylines :) (Finally)! Im tired of all those church towers in Sweden..
Yeah, TT is a very nice building but it's not enough to say Malmö's skyline is great.. The "Hilton cluster" is too small and too far away from TT. Stockholm's skyline is too spread out but the new area around Kista science tower seems to be promising. :)
For now Paris' La Défense is actually the Europe's largest and most massive business center indeed, but anyway all of this is generally too small compared to Asia and North America. Still Europe is the wealthiest market on Earth, and I want to see it in our modern architecture. I wanna see high quality skyscrapers blooming all over our continent, from Greece to Ireland, from Portugal to Russia, from Malta to Sweden.
Is this clear you motherfuckers !? Let's get ambitious ! Europe #1 ! Forever !
@amherdoll Shard London Bridge is the tallest skyscraper in the entire EU, which is taller than Eiffel Tower, it is still under construction and it will be completed by 2012. If you combine skyscrapers in Croydon, Wembley, The City, and Canary Wharf, would the biggest clusters in Europe trust me blad
@1234567loading The Shard London Bridge thing looks interesting but it's still a bit smaller than the Eiffel Tower (1017 ft against 1063).
See Hermitage Plaza, that's what some russian investors wanna build in Paris. They seem quite determined and the construction should start in the coming months. The architect who designed the project is british (Norman Foster), that should comfort you. Paris is gonna be more and more insolent again, you guys should just try to take it easy.
@JoshRobertson142 right, it must be some sort of naked structure, it has only 3 floors. it was the first "supertall" structure (over 300 m/1000 ft) ever built though (1889). i hadn't compared it to the shard anyway, it should never be compared to anything.
There isn't such a thing as an objective view on this subject, 'cause people have different rating standarts, like number of buildings, density, quality, architecture, variability, setting, etc etc. as well as nationalism of course ;)
@AttackTheGasStation1 English people in London? LOL the one you met in London must be someone some eastern European cos as far as i know English people do not live in London.
@93NTMSupreme ooh people from paris always think they're the best. shut up frenchie. paris is ranked 5 between the largest cities in europe after london, berlin, madrid and rome. thus...london, berlin, madrid and rome are bigger.
@Lostinpraslation, I don't think so. Paris is the 2nd biggest city after London (if you take in account the suburb of course). And Madrid is not that big! Your ranks are a big joke!
Check out my other video for more Düsseldorf skyline pics! But of course all pics are at least 3/5 months old, so some new developments in the "New Media Harbor" are not visible.
I think some of the new projects are a bit boring and don't really fit into the surroundings (esp. the 200m+ proposals) but there are also some nice buildings (like the u/c "De Rotterdam").

Thank you! Of course there are more nice skylines in Europe like Leeds, Valencia, Lyon, Lille, Milan, Naples, Sarajevo, Dnipropetrovsk, Tallinn, Malmo, Stavanger, Eindhoven, Essen, Cologne, Berlin and some more, but they simply didn't make it into my list :-)
R'dam is really nice for me too, but I'm not so sure about its recent projects (partly questionable design), same goes for Paris.
yep thats whats I meant.. well I dont know the statistics so well.. meaning number of highrises and height.. but I have to say that the Moscow and Madrid images are quite impressive too... about rotterdam... I live in this city and there is alot of construction going on.. Rotterdam might become the future skyline capital in Europe... and only with a population similar to Frankfurt... Keep up the good work!
I especially love the evening and night time scenes, with the long shadows, the sunset in the background, and the lights in the buildings glowing in the dark.

No disrespect but this tower..
- is not even approved yet
