I love how the kung fu master flows down WITH not AGAINST his opponents force, the other man is quite stiff and is taking the abrupt impact as opposed to flowing. Still not a bad vid.
Jostik 88 in reply to your ?...I have seen quite a few human who are fast, generate power and inflict pain. You only have to watch a cage fight to reconfirm.
Any strong seasoned Thai boxer should be be able to take the same amount of pain, as for the power.....well it really depends on the opponent !
KFC, I'm no expert, but it seemed as though this 60 y.o. man was doing something most guys half his age would be hard pressed to do. Of course it takes proper conditioning, but it's useful for people to know that your health and vigor can still be quite formidable in the later years. Also, this gentleman could clearly issue power and sink his root/energy very well, while being clearly quite relaxed in doing so. You could even so he put speed on it at will..clearly strong combat implications.
hm, i dont know what this demo's to be honest. If you condition your body, be it hands, shins after some time they can take high punishment. So his size and power in something he is not trained for is not relevant. He cant be the better in something where his opponent has spent more years deading nerves and making the bones denser.
You're looking at the wrong thing. Notice how the old man's slaps bend the big guy at the waist and leave him in a "weighted down" position? Does that not look unusual to you? Try replicating it on someone bigger and more muscular than you.
Props to the big guy for not flinching from the punishment though. He was clearly in pain but he still held his arms out stiffly to receive the hits.

This makes me lol,"one more to go he says" and wham! Then he gives that boyish laugh as he slouches on the shop counter as if a little funny thing just happened. Brilliant! Two good sports. Absolutely brilliant!! Great posts
Well i said i would look at this when i was in the shop, and having now done so i am very impressed, i shall give you a call in a couple of weeks as i said for a treatment.
To see that big weightlifter squealing in pain and seeing Sifu Yap Leong's power and speed with minimal movement is truely the 8th wonder of this world!
if ever there is proof that martial arts didnt originate anywhere near india this is it..and thats coming from a proud indian!
I have known Sifu Yap Leong for 17 years, in which time I have seen him demonstrate many techniques to me.
The internal power he posses is extreme and very functional, when compared to a lot of other martial arts that lack true internal power.
His knowledge and skill is of a very high standard and if you want to learn an art which is street functional and very effective in dealing with single opponents or multiple attackers then this is it.
well considering you call yourself a critic i dont think you have any ability to analyze and interprete what is going on in the video as clearly seems too intellectual for your capacity!
its simple mr critic, how many humans do you know can move with such speed, generate power and inflict pain(and dont tell me even your critical eyes and ears cant see that ) at that age you can see the difference in sifu yap leong who is head and shoulders above them, do you not agree mr critic?
looks like your at work did this video get you fired when your boss saw it?

Hi Shifu.
Is this part of the hard qi gong practice?
I know you dont do the standard conditioning like banging limbs against bricks and things.

have you ever seen a 60 year old thai boxer?
If you have please tell me so I can buy the guy a drink because they are few and far between.
Those guys wear themselves out by the time they reach 30 years of age.
And BTW, this has little to do with conditioning.

Sifu Leong's command of internal energies are clearly demonstrated & his redoubtable technical excellence displayed in this polished performance.
