@MTCx18 definitely use white lady by wella or ivory lady. Or clairol professional high lift toners. someone at a beauty supply will help you find a strong purple/violet based toner. Just make sure it's violet and not blue based, blue cancels orange and purple cancels yellow :)

@TheErinSanders I wouldn't be able to tell you a drugstore shade as generally speaking none of them are pure bleach as they deposit colour onto the hair. This is a level 10, which is the lightest you can go and pretty much was made by mixing a strong developer and bleach, but no deposit of colour afterwards. I recommend going to a hairdresser to find out what they would use to get this colour on you and then go by their recommendation
Please stop using Tigi Dumb Blonde with Redken Anti snap....tigi is purely cosmetic and smells nice....it does nothing for the condition of the hair.....Unlike Redken....which is one of the best brands you can use. And also Moisture and protein is not just needed if your blonde....all hair types need moisture and protein....even Virgin un-coloured hair!

repairing split ends is possible there are new things out there that work i am in school and we just newed that biolustre repairs split ends lol it will disapper when u use a chemical again but thats why u use it after and befor =)

What Bleach is your Salon using girl? There are loads of on and off scalp Bleaches. And for root touch-up you should be using on scalp and that should not be stinging your head at all. Its very very bad to use off scalp bleach on your skin(its meant to be used in foils) and on some people can cause severe burns.

I think the box colours tell you to strip any existing colour out first so you get the colour that is on the box... I say just follow the istructions or ask someone from like a salon supply place before you do it
no never. When I first had it done at the salon realised... anything that can burn my head I am likely to stuff up big time :P I find its just too hard to do in the back aswell.

it is normal to loose up to about 100 strands of hair a day, however if it falls out alot I woud ask a pharmacist about ways to stop it or go to a doctor and talk to them about hair loss, a good way to check if you are loosing too much hair is to grab a straw sized amount of hair close to the roots and GENTLY tug and slip your fingers away from the scalp, if more than 6 hairs come out there may be a problem

It's not too much protein that does that, it's actually the silicone varieties that you find in your cheaper shampoos and conditioners, such as Herbal Essences and Pantene. They deposit too much into your hair which will begin to snap very easily.
yeah if you use too much is can be bad for your hair... but when you bleach your hair it strips all the protiens out of it so you can't overdo it unless you so a mask almost every day....

OMG! if its such a burden to maintain and STINGS like hell wen u bleach it, why not try a lighter brown colour? i was gona go blonde coz im also a dark brunette, but then i was told after u bleach the hair (just like i did for my highlights) u can never go back to being brunette =S but, u do look great with the blonde uve got, but il save myself the hassle i think (and pain) lol

after like 4 times of bleaching it (over several wks so my hair can repair itself),
the hair dresser said to try 20 develop now. so I'm doing that now lol :)

i was brown and they put ike ugly but color and made it highligghts!
ugh! now its gunna be all different colors, they suck

oh no! you should always tell the hairdresser when you arent happy so they can fix it for you... Ihat it when my hair turns out different from how i want it

its always good to go for a good protien mask to treat your hair after you dye it, also a purple toner to get id of any brassyness :)

I was practically blonde once and I couldn't handle all the maintenance after a while. I went back to brunette in a flash LOL! The blonde looks very good on you.

you know what..i always thought that you are a natural blonde...your hair color and your skin looks perfect together....!i understand how your old dark hair is like a contrast to your skin.....but either way you're still awesome whatever your hair color is!

It's not too much protein that does that, it's actually the silicone varieties that you find in your cheaper shampoos and conditioners, such as Herbal Essences and Pantene. They deposit too much into your hair which will begin to snap very easily.

yeah if you use too much is can be bad for your hair... but when you bleach your hair it strips all the protiens out of it so you can't overdo it unless you so a mask almost every day....

Great tips! I'm a blonde also, and it is high maintenance, but worth it! I was really blonde as a child, but now I have to keep after it--one time I dyed it a light brown and everyone, including myself hated it! I'll never do that again--it just wasn't me! Thanks! Lisa

Whoa! That is one big regiment for hair care. That's insane. Being beautiful and having amazing hair takes A LOT of work. Phew! I think if I tried to go blonde, my hair would die the day after :P

OMG! if its such a burden to maintain and STINGS like hell wen u bleach it, why not try a lighter brown colour? i was gona go blonde coz im also a dark brunette, but then i was told after u bleach the hair (just like i did for my highlights) u can never go back to being brunette =S but, u do look great with the blonde uve got, but il save myself the hassle i think (and pain) lol

haha, I love how the colour changes my mentality :P after 2-3 years I have gotten used to it and for me, its worth it (I wasn't the greatest in highschool haha, I was the plain brunette girl with the bad skin and braces haha)
