  • going into deep freeze...activating hyper-luminal velocity...coordinates set. Next stop:

    Kepler 22-B

  • Put this song on, leaned back and closed my eyes.

I was riding an eagle, flying over deserts, oceans, forests.... Felt like it lasted forever...

    Amazing feeling

  • This has a pink floyd/jesus mary chain feel. Yes, no shit.

  • Googled my street then looked thru a window of my house: I was sitting at the computer with headphones on. As this song played I zoomed my right eye and took a trip across my brain. Many wild adventures. Then came out my left eye and zoomed back up to the satellite. The song ends but we must abide. Not long enough! Trust in lust and dust. My bong gives birth to a new universe...even if ice winds blow and dire wolves flow on the circular fields of Earth.

  • what genre is this?

  • @Zaenema Drone metal.

  • @sixthseparatist Eh, not really. Their first album or two woult be drone, but this wouldn't really be considered drone or metal IMO.

  • @itsmedude1020 Yeah, I kinda wasn't thinking when I said that.

  • @sixthseparatist i'd personally disagree with him. this is definitely drone. metal, we could split hairs but drone no way

  • @SeagullTheFreegull There a hard band to put a label on, and yes, theres more of a country tone to this album than there others. I personally like The Bees Made Honey in the Lions Skull the most, you can definitely call that album drone metal, or drone rock. I honestly haven't givin this album alot of time yet.

  • @sixthseparatist i havent listened to any of their albums in depth yet, just random songs. i wish i had cash so i could buy the cd and listen under the stars, out in thee trees.

    but i'm poor.

  • Im just DRONEDDDDDD

  • I packed my bong to this song it took ever so long

  • I bought a 12 of MooseHead Beer and I'm cruising youtube tonight......15min's in I come across this.........Killer!!!!

  • pandemicpwnsn00bs and Razwithz, can both of you childish little fucks shut up and worship Earth?

  • @Deathsiren can you shut the fuck down? Cause im pretty sure you have free will, no one is forcing you to do anything, you dont have to read these? What kind of loser bitches about exactly what they are bitching about???? Ummmm a hypocrite maybe? SOmething like that possibly. Follow your own advice and shut up and worship earth. I never stopped, its called multitasking brah

  • @pandemicpwnsn00bs your just feeding the troll, if you want to argue about something, I will be more than willing, and I won't just put together crap about grammar.

  • This reminds me of The dead flag blues by GSYBE

  • Southern Lord is the fucking best thing ever. How is it possible for 1 label to have so much amazing music..?

  • I listen to Earth while cruising round some American Cities on Google Street view, Detriots the best.

  • @carnforth76 Fuck man that's a good idea.

  • @carnforth76 It is even more profound and foreboding as a soundtrack for C-SPAN, particularly if there's a little "Conflict Coverage". If you listen to the underlying melodic theme, you can just about hear Stephen Foster's "Old Folks at Home" trying to come through, which in light of current times and events, gives it an even creepier dimension to it.

  • @carnforth76 hell ya thats sik

  • @carnforth76

    New Wave of cruisin'

    :D

    I like

  • This song is so good I don't want to tell anyone about it. /hipsterglasses

  • drone fags

  • Instructions:

    1. Open the 1966 film Alice in Wonderland by the BBC, watch this tab

    2. Open an audio tab with this song playing full blast.

    3. get drunk.

    IT'S AMAZING.

  • You're all a bunch of pretentious hipster faggots. Just saying what the world is thinking.

  • droner fags

  • i could picture them playing this while a nun is taking a doodoo into an salt water aquarium and all kinds of neat exotic coral begin to digest the minerals in the nun shit and they grow in stature until they shatter the aquarium and the water melts through the floor creating a tunnel straight to the nearest whataburger where i order onion rings and gravy and go to the bathroom and shut my dick in the door

  • @FetalJuice88 LOL

  • @FetalJuice88 fucking sick bastard

  • @Razwithz you wrote this on your profile "It is My biggest pride to be a misanthrope and a hedonist." FAGGGGGGOT

  • @FetalJuice88 So what's your point? that all "underground, anti-mainstream" people have to be fucked up like you?! I wrote that precisely because human's sick and twisted nature and their ability to find pleasure in the unpleasant disgustes me the most, so go sit on a dick and think about it would you?.

End of story I'm not ruining a very interesting music video with arguing comments.

  • @Razwithz uhhh huh? run that back one time>?

  • @FetalJuice88 yeah, just what I thought xD

  • @Razwithz uhm.. do what?

  • @Razwithz you are fucking stupid. Human nature is a cultural construct. Genetics play a small role in the formation of the self, Culture is responsible for this "nature". People are what they learn, so sick people, generally, arise from a sick environment. Realize though that "Sick" is a relative term. So why dont you go to college, or read some fucking books before you try and talk like you know shit. Which btw, no one knows shit about shit, Information is infinite.

  • @pandemicpwnsn00bs you didn't say anything different than what I wrote, humans are fucked up cause they are around fucked up ppl, nothing new or smart deductions there. And yes, "sick" like "good" and "evil" for example is relative, it depends on your cultural approach and how you've been tought to see the world, my point was the disgusting ability of humans to aquire unpleaseant tastes like finding a nun defecating attractive. No one knows shit? speak for yourself.

  • @Razwithz you honestly think shitting nuns is the nastiest thing humans have done? how about genocide? and worse, rape? how about the way whitey treated the native americans? if you're gonna talk about how disgusting humans can be bring up something that actually matters, not harmless personal fetishes. p.s. you're both retarded shut up and listen i'm out

  • @SeagullTheFreegull did I say "that's the nastiest thing a human could do"? nope, of course there are thousand more terrible thing humans have done, you are talking with a misanthrope here.

  • @Razwithz did i say i knew shit? Your implication is baseless, it lacks any evidence save for your biased inference. Dude you no where near said anything about enculturation, how is what you said no different from what i said? Examples please, other wise go eat shit and die. I cant stand losers who fail at basic argumentation.

  • @pandemicpwnsn00bs

WTF it's been 2 months. Stop making stupid comebacks and get a life sucker!

  • @pandemicpwnsn00bs

And stop using complex sentence structures and brainy words, you don't sound or look smart, rather stupid I'd say. A vain attempt of displaying the intelligence you don't have yet you wish you did haha

  • @Razwithz weakk ass ad hominem bro. Yet again, its baseless, mere conjecture. Intelligence i do not have yet? YOur use of contractions display a smidge of grammatical ignorance. Syntax exists for a reason, And you would prolly say i sound dumb because of some sort of inferiority complex, or idk some sort of other cognitive defect, malfunction, ect. But then again, this is mere conjecture. Arguing has rules dude, and you're failing.

  • "Die grässlichen und stets kreisenden Wölfe"... the title of this song sounds even more threatening in German.

  • I can still come back to this video over and over again, and it will give me a certain feeling and insight; something similar to a memory

This is beyond just some "song"

  • Dylan...whats there to say

  • Man this shit makes me chills as fuckkkk man :)

  • this is deep...

  • oooh say can you seee

  • There needs to be a longer version of this..

  • hmm a stoner/drone metal band called Earth? wasn't that the the original name of Black Sabbath?

  • @rodrigomanzo777 yes. that is why they picked the name.

  • @rodrigomanzo777 Yes it was. That's why they picked the name. So they are at least the third band of this name.

  • howlin at the moon

  • Auric perfection.

  • When I was homless growing up this was all I heard

  • the joint im smoking is appropriately heavy for this song and one of my greatest allies of all time has just returned from norway after a year back there. i have no job or money at the moment but life actually doesnt get better, until tomorrow when im jamming this with him and the bong is on the go. CARLSON FOR PRESIDENT '011

  • looks a bit like the old lifeboat house in winchelsea. peace to.....you know

  • I just put my camel wide backwards in my mouth when I heard this tune! This will be the official tune when we die and go to heaven. Yea, we hear this tune, get a 4x4 to drive and a never ending supply of pinapple express to smoke! Awesome! God is watching and she is happy!

  • This is like the speed metal version of Sunn 0)))

  • great band

  • GREAT!!!!!

  • Fuckin amazing

  • This reminds me of Neil Young's soundtrack to Dead Man.

  • @ignoranttwat my thoughts exactly

  • This makes me wanna sit in a chair on a farm in a big feild next to a fence starring at the scenery of trees off in the distance and the giant barn infront of me while i live life slowly as i puff on a joint watching the vibrational energy of existance take its course seeing the truth that the man made reality ignores...

  • @AaronBaker12345 I am gonna role a joint right now mate!

  • Comment removed

  • @AaronBaker12345 All you have to do is read Siddhartha and you can find out what happens when you do that. So there I saved you a lifetime in exchange for an evenings read. Now maybe you can find something productive to do.

  • leaps to his feet, runs to the bathroom, and vomits everywhere for the rest of the night, morning, groaning like Frankenstein's monster... This is your brain on shitty beer and EARTH ...

  • My friend was passed out on the couch and I was drinking a beer, watching the goldfish swim around. He had been mumbling to himself in his sleep a little bit. I decided to play this song. He started flailing around, swearing and punching and kicking, cursing invisible enemies. The song gets heavier and his feet tap dance their way up on to the couch, while his torso has ended up on the floor beside, thrashing around, bumping into the coffee table. His eyes suddenly open sickeningly wide and he

  • the circled E means Equality.. Anarchy for a free humanity upon earth..

  • opiates and earth! YES 135mg methadone makes the sound drip fm ma speakers

  • @assrake opiates are not cool :P

  • great track.

  • First time I heard Earth a few days ago all I could think was Black Sabbath during the real mellow parts!! Anybody recommend other groups similiar to Earth?

  • @whpriol1 bohren und der club of gore.sometimes:)

  • @whpriol1 Hmm Weedeater, Sleep, Shrinebuilder, Bongzilla, Electric Wizard, High on Fire, Acid King and Alabama Thunder Pussy are a few good stoner bands, but I don't know too much drone sound stuff though. You may want to try Eyehategod thier like Black Sabbath on Meth.

  • @Metaldisciple666999 Acid bath, tool, pelican, melvins, mower, red fang, Down, The Sword,& shrum are good stoner metal bands although they all sound different in their own ways. The High Confessions, Neurosis, Isis, Pelican, sunn 0)), Godflesh, And some acid bath is some good drone music.-

  • @sxyTODDLERHOLE

    sleep? come aaaawn

  • @sxyTODDLERHOLE fuck tool

  • @sxyTODDLERHOLE --hey bro, thanks for listing some of those bands you mentioned. I'm always looking for recommendations. What do you know about Shrinebuider and Harvey Milk?

PS: If you love the above and if you don't have these, get "Dopesmoker" by Sleep and "Art of Self-Defense" by High on Fire. Badass. \m/

  • not condoning or disproving of the shit, but anyone with a taste for opiates, from codeine all the way up to diamorphine who has not heard this music i can not help but feel extremely sorry for

  • @wannabesedated00 completely agree. i could damn near nod out to this without any help from the amazing poppy plant. its like loving x but never hearing techno.

  • Black Sabbath influence?

  • @metallicarata9512369 Yeah, Earth was the name Sabbath originally wanted. Also, listen to the beginning of Sabbath's "War Pigs", and you'll find that Earth is like that but slower and doomier.

  • When listening to this sing, I mentally picture a cowboy that is walking slowly, but very powerfully, out into the horizon... and the sun is setting, it is coloured a terrific dark orange shade... all around you, you can see Texan desert, cactuses, brown dirt gently blowing in the breeze... I wish I was there right now...

  • @retrospectroverted Yea you are right on! How about ...'Clint Eastwood' back in the day.

  • bro im stoned i dont get it whats this website abowt

  • I could picture them playing this while a fat guy is eating potato chips and then he drops one and he struggles to reach it but he never does get a reach of it and that's when the song ends

  • @JuAnthonyJR LOL! Wow! That sounds like something I would say! XD

  • @JuAnthonyJR Thats sick! lol :)

  • @JuAnthonyJR lol or near the end he finally gets a the chip in his fingers and then he collapses from heart failure.

  • @JuAnthonyJR seriously, best youtube comment ever

  • @JuAnthonyJR seriously, best youtube comment ever

  • @justinelroddd Haha thanks man! I know it's random but you could picture that right?

  • @JuAnthonyJR Can't stop laughing.

  • @JuAnthonyJR You mean a modern day (and very American) version of Tantalus! That's pretty deep!

  • @JuAnthonyJR are you high? hahahahaha

  • @JuAnthonyJR dude. too much pot. seriously. too much. stop. now.

  • @WBmusicify That's why I'm here. About to see them in Kentucky. Only 2 days. I"m so fucking stoned. out of my damn mind.

  • @metallicabreath1 Thanks man, glad you find the image hilarious!

  • hhrmm...word

  • Better than Sunn! Better than Boris! Better than my old Mum!

  • @redcommando1

Oh well, nearly EVERYBODY is better than Sunn0))).

  • this is my favorite earth song still

  • sounds like the star-spangled banner slowed down to a crawl. Earth have an American sound, both due to the influence of Morricone's Spagetti Western Soundtracks, and American Country Music. Ergo, this sonic disection of their National Anthem.

  • who knew youtube could be a usefull method of finding new things that are good?

  • @oplopanux Dude, youtube is my main method for finding music I like. Stuff like this is never on radio or in the mainstream. I don't even have good college radio where I live now. Thank god for the internet.

  • Only on a EARTH video will people discuss string theory...

  • @lowfrequencies11 Edward Witten string theory FTW!

  • @lowfrequencies11 Or a video on string theory perhaps?

  • @lowfrequencies11 Most accurate comment ever.

  • @lowfrequencies11 Could also happen with a video where people are playing Beethoven.

  • This song has this beautiful oscillating motion to it. Incredible.

  • Actually, the definition of sound is vibrations that stimulate the auditory nerves and produce the sensation of hearing. sound waves are produced by the vibration and are made up of compressions and rarefactions. therefore, sound is vibration.

  • Comment removed

  • hypnotising...

  • 'Reality' is Infinite Consciousness expressing and experiencing finite fractals of itself, condensed to a slow vibration that goes faster and faster until it reaches a peak only to stop - and start over.

That is, inside the illusion of space/time ;-)

  • If people lived until they were 300 years old then I might have time to listen to this song and enjoy it. But as for right now, it just itches that this song goes so darn slow. However, it is interesting, and it reminds me of how the west would have been like most of the time instead of the high paced action movies and stories that have shaped our false image of old western life.

  • dude i just dont get it? im honestly trying to like sun0))) snf earth but its just..i dont know boring. im a fan of doom metal so i can handle repeatative but this is just so drawn out

  • It reminds me of an Amish person who has seen our world compared to his and is contemplating killing himself by hanging.

  • @mikhkos My thoughts exactly. It makes me feel like I'm lost in the desert. Walking for miles with no salvation in sight. Boris's Feekbacker album gives me that same image when I listen to it.

  • @fadedsun303

Yeah, no kidding, i get the same feeling. Dylan Carlson once said that this great album was partially inspired by Cormac McCarthy's "Blood Meridian", which takes place in the deserts of the US-Mexico border during the mid 19th century.

  • my buddy is sleeping and i'm sitting here with my mind, wondering off, while i'm holding a huge vibrator that we took from a house which we squattered. Life is good. put on sunglasses and spit on the shoe of a bureaucrat.

  • Fuck smokeraisins 123. Dropkick Murphys will knock your teeth out and Earth will punch your cerebellum.

  • remind me of velvet underground "heroin"

  • velvet underground style

  • Thanks for posting. It's so cliche to try to make something depressing beautiful, but damn this does it.

  • ... but i like the album art ...

  • Drone is not generally my thing, usually I find it boring, if not abrasive. This though, is like a giant wall of awesome, slowly pushing you back.

  • i listening to this song while drinking beer and smoke cigarette..

  • especial medicinal cigarette

  • this is fucking epic shit, reminds me of older pink floyd <3

  • Kurwa, to jest genialne.

  • o my gosh. this is just great

  • when this hoe came out i got some special limited edition double lp. but i had to sell it. this is a killer ass album dude!

  • fucking heroin stuff

  • Comment removed

  • @mentalholocaust lol...

  • good for falling asleep to ^^

  • this music makes me feel like a blind slug trying to cross a sidewalk on a hot summer day. ?!

  • Is your name for Dropkick Murphy's and The Mighty Mighty Bosstones? If it is, then props to you for having a wide musical taste. =P

  • fuck dropkick murphys fool.

  • @Dropkickbosstones: Here I was, about to ramble on and on all intellectual like about how patient, and bleeding this was, when you describe it soooooo much better, with such a brilliant analogy. You, good sir, get a thumb's up.

  • @Dropkickbosstones "i'm guessing that's the drugs, dude!"

  • @Dropkickbosstones Is that good or bad ?

  • @Dropkickbosstones Nice!!!!

  • @Dropkickbosstones wow. yeah. i be slitherin

  • Oh man... i'm stoned and this video put me into a deep trance

  • sheer beauty. atmosphere, depth, creativity and bliss all rolled into one dylan sized droneball mmmmmmmm this is music for life.. helps being VERY high too!

  • it's weird if you think about it....Matter is vibration condensed...sound waves are vibrations which in turn is music...So everything...You, Me, Water, Rocks, Trees, Dirt, ......we are all MUSIC....we are the rhythm of the universe....

  • Exactly so.

  • thats actually a theory i use to write music i take the rythym of my life to write and most of it is doomy/black metal :]

  • Musica natura

  • that's right dude, its what i say to everybody!

  • i know right everything is music, just it needs to purified

  • That could have been a quote from the log lady in Twin Peaks

  • well said!

  • Beautiful.
