  • Just a small pointer people with weaker wrists should try to either catch their clean in a hand position that is suitable to complete the jerk. Generally elbows slightly lower and a more stable full finger grip on the bar. Often times the clean catch is with two fingers on the bar and the wrist drasitcally hyperextended, this makes it very hard to complete the jerk and stabilize at the top.....olympic judging allows for a reset at the top of the clean....

  • To end the argument you don't spot a clean and jerk, you can keep your eye on it if anything goes wrong, but not close because the weight could fall on you !!
