  • Did you filmed this with your Calculator'?!

  • @joeristoopfilms Nokia N70

  • @hitman5806 "so cruising altitude will be something between that" - it all depends on the weight. A 777-200 will consume something between 6 and 7 t of fuel/hr , a 777-330 something in between 7 and 8 t of fuel/hr

  • You could afford first class but not a good camera?

  • @Aviationnation10 First Class? Cattle sir, first row

  • @singel09 KLM have Economy up that far! most airlines dont have it past the wing! dont they have the galley on one side of the aircraft or is that the 747M?

  • @Aviationnation10

that is indeed the 747M, select seating, perfect area , row 9-17

  • @singel09 Cool :D

  • Mooi gefilmd!

  • @hitman5806 ...and the rest

  • Is it my imagination or did this plane take off like a cheetah?

  • schiphol

  • Amazing video and spool up... music to my ears

  • PH-BQF

  • Do you know the aircraft registration?

  • Hate to be in a Fokker behind the 777......

  • dit is zeker de 777-200 want ik zat op rij 16 en ik zat ook voor de motor.

    ik vloog met een 777-300

  • @hillebeintema

    -200 indeed

  • @hillebeintema klopt!

  • Those r Huge fucking engines. 110,000 pounds of thrust out of each engine. No military cargo plane has the power of that!

  • What departure city is that?

  • @nenblom

    amsterdam

  • Nice hmmm on those 777 engines.

  • PERUVIAN AIRLINES IS THE BEST AIRLINE IN PERU

  • what a nice machine !

  • I'm so exited, i'm departing with a klm 777 tomorrow, from amsterdam heading to san francisco. :D

  • The sound of those engines is music to my ears!

  • What engin? Sounds like a GE90 xD GE90 FTW!

  • @MriPodJailbreakz

    the 300's have ge115 engines

  • @singel09 they both have GE90's. -200 has GE90-94B and -300 has GE90-115B. hope that helps

  • @singel09 Ge 90-115B ;-)

  • Hi tormusfx !

No it is not prohibited to take pictures or to film.It is OK I have flight films as well.

Have a great flight to JFK .

    Traveling Mercies.

    God Bless

  • 36c welke baan is mag dat zijn

  • That engine is HUGE!!

  • I love the feeling when the engines release their power!

  • what`s so courious about a plane`s motor?

  • YES USA

    THANK YOU USA

  • Probably the best 777 takeoff video (sound, quality, colors, etc.). Wow.

  • Who's snoring ? The guy next to you ?

  • Then when it takes off goes to something like A or Bb - that sound would cause me to take hostages after a few hours!

  • It makes almost no sound at cruising altitude.

  • @naisi They put them to idle

  • I don't like the sound from passenger standpoint - it makes a high-pitched musical sound (here something like F# or G) that drives me crazy!

  • 777-300er with ge90

  • Nope, the 300's have ge115 engines.

    This is a 777-206ER with ge90's.

  • No, it's still GE90, Murph. A GE90-115B, in fact. From the size and aspect of the engine, this is what you have in the video - as flown on the 777-300ER.

Looking at the data, there are also earlier -300 Trips that have PW and RR plants ... but this definitely looks like a -115B to me.

  • Comment removed

  • @mdmnmdllr

It is. The mounting of the engine and comparison between all 3 power plants indicates your right.

  • it has not so much to do with the interference, but more with the fact that a camera could become a dangerous flying object, in case the pilot has to hit the brakes. G-forces can be so strong, the camera would hit someone's head, and kill instantly.

  • @bautista1973 haha stop trying to act like you know what your talking about when you don't

  • @MrCrazyfucker123, ok, then, enlighten us with your intelligence..... mr crazyfucker???

  • Looks like Amsterdam.

  • Isn't it prohibited to film while taking off? I'm gonna fly to JFK very soon, and I wanna try it but I'm not sure if I should, any advice?

  • depends on the crew .. I usually wait till they are seated .. and keep low profile .. just filmed a few more, soon an upload. Enjoy the trip

  • its allowed. the only reason they tell you to turn electronics(like a phone) on a plane is because it cause radio interference. cameras don't generate radio interference

  • but they´re actually also saying turn off "ALL" your electronic devices, included if they dont have radio interference. But the reason to that i suppose is something that could be dangerous just on 10 million ;)

  • @tormusfx i always film, no one sais anything

  • Boeing 7777 is a best aircraft and klm too!

    nice video thank you

  • This engines is the most powerful engines in the world, great video!

  • Headed to Cairo, eh? Neat! Did you record your arrival in Cairo? Thanks! Love the video.

  • nope sorry! I tried it yesterday (I am here again) Seat 10A

  • actually singel09 Boeing is converting all the 777s to 3-3-3

  • Boeing might do that, but is KLM following that? I hate the 3-4-3 setting .. as cramp as can be

  • i tink KLM is but im not sure

  • @singel09 klm does what they want to, they will not recieve 3-3-3 config, according to de diff in wing size, you can easily make up which is which 777

  • I love GE-90's so much... by any chance do you know if this plane had a 3-4-3 config?

  • it is a -200 , so 3-3-3 .. the -300 has 3-4-3

  • Great video , 10* !!

    Very powerful engines

  • i'm so happy to see vid like this!!thank you so much!!!

KLM's service is great i thoght...

  • Damn the Tripple 7 just dwarfed the regional jet looks like KLM Rocks

    Have a great one!!

  • The engine's are probably wider and half as long as one of those Fokker's.

  • KLM is a pretty cool airline lol they gave me crayons and som cards on space

  • Great vid if all you want to do is look at an engine

  • I agree, 3 min of taxi followed by a wide view shot to keep the whole engine in view. What was the point. Next time stand and take a picture for the same effect.

  • Noticed someone was snoring.

  • @SalocinTEN

Lol you must have very strong ears then! Didn't notice it till I read your comment...

  • @EmadIV LOL. No. I have really good headphones. Courtesy of Nokia. :D

  • ik ben ook met KLM naar Manila gevlogen ook met een 777-300 die vlucht duurde 13 uur en hoeveel bedraagde jou tijd ?

  • nice! Ik 6 uur

  • waar ging de reis naartoe ?

  • Cairo

  • quetioin , never flown on uch a mall plane i it better or wore flight than a bigger plane ?

  • 50 seconds to take off

  • Where were you going to?

Great video by the way! :)

  • KLM, nice and easy fly.

  • Pretty quiet bird all in all.

  • great video:):)

  • Great airline, nice country with friendly and highly educated people.

  • oh tru, lol my bad and this is embarassing cuz im a pilot and ive been to amsterdam before too :|

  • hey man, just though i would point out tht u were taking off on runway 36 not runway 36C. When you see a sign tht says 36C, its like two street signs tht show an intersection, the intersection here is between runway 36 and taxiway Charlie or Taxiway C.

  • I think he is right with his 36C specification, as AMS Airport has 3 runways with a 18/36 heading:

    Polderbaan, Zwanenburgbaan, Aalsmeerbaan.

  • It is 36C , Center ... there is also a 36R and 36L

    Thanks ua462hd for underlying this

  • KLM 4805

  • Чо?

  • anyone what kind of engine it is the trent 800 or GE90

  • GE90-94B on a 777-200ER

KLMs 777s and 747s have GEs

  • thank you

  • I can see that. The 90-94's are still big, but noticeably smaller than the 115B's. They are still bigger than the Trent's or PW's though.

  • Comment removed

  • GE90. Love those engines.

  • Love that low growl.

  • is that a Boeing 777-200ER or-300ER?

  • 777-200ER

  • thanks

  • Will KLM hire a filippino pilot?

  • if you have the hours and expierence there looking then sure. They dont care what your enthincy is.

  • You also have to reside in the country that the airline is based in.

  • This is a good one for sound. Well done. I posted mine in video response. A 777 also. Let me know what you think.

  • Comment removed

  • i have flown on klm&luftansa

  • have you noticed most airplanes are ugly with just white and some colored writing of the airline or country it is.

KLM actually paints their planes and one of the prettiest colors that i love (sky blue)

    I LOVE KLM!!!

best airline in the world, fuck singapore airlines!

they are a basically new airline, of course they have a perfect saferty record...klm is how old?

yeh the best airline in the world.

  • KLM is celebrating this year their 90th birthday!

  • really! thats great.

i am dying to be a flight attendant for KLM but im from USA and i dont speak Dutch.

damn it! i would love to be a flight attendant for a 777 or 747 my favorite planes!

but sigh...hahaha and if i do become a flight attendant i would be damned if they put me on a little 737...that would be the worst...lol

  • hahahah :) klm is good yes and lufthansa is good too

  • ive never flown lufthansa. but i hope to fly them one day.

they seem like a really good airline from what ive heard. :)

  • Hey Monica,

Cool to hear you like KLM. You don't have to be afraid to be put on 737 only first when you start ;-) I'm a flight attendant for KLM, and when you enter the company you get trained on 1 shorthaul and 2 longhaul aircraft .

So basically you get the 737 and 747 period, and the 3th one is either the MD11, A330 or 777 (all longhaul)

However the last one you get trained on as you rise in seniority.

I got in on the 737, 747 and A330, and then you fly mixed Europe and Longhaul.

  • O and b.t.w.

You don't have to be dutch to work for KLM, I'm not ;-)

So just learn enough dutch to make yourself understandable and of course live in the Netherlands and you might be able to get in ;-)

Good luck and see you in the sky :-)

  • Someone's snoring. :P

  • Funny thing is... the engine being filmed has a diameter that's around the same size, if not larger, than the fuselages of those Fokkers :D

  • The 777 GE-90s diameter is nearly the same as the 737 fuselage diameter. Fokkers have the 2+3 seating (if I do not remember it wrong) and the 737s have 3+3. So the GE-90 diameter is definitely larger than the Fokker fuselage. It is all about increasing the by-pass ratio for higher thrust rather than the exhaust thrust.

  • It does not seem as if it was having much trouble lifting this heavy mass off to the air. Views are magnificant indeed. I was on Shiphol Feb this year too !

  • well filmed singe nice job

  • What was the destination of this flight?

  • from Amsterdam to Amsterdam :D

  • I think he wrote it.

It is a flight from Amsterdam to Cairo (Egypt).

  • is it economy ?

  • yes it is

  • i got the same Seat B4 but it was Malaysia Airline not KLM

  • I love flying with KLM

  • I dont know what it is but i love watching take-off's of other planes from inside a plane!I also love getting up early for a flight knowing that everyone else is asleep and just as you're lifting off you can see all the people in their little cars!!!flying is a great life!!

  • I feel the same exact way!

  • Wow. what a beauty.... Awesome sound. I particularly love the fact that the engines are massively huge on the front, but the back is tiny compared to 747 engines or such. xD !! Cant wait till A350 and 787. :)

  • The engine your referring to is the GE90, It's 10Feet 4inches in diametre..!!!

  • who would'a thought that looking at one engine for several minutes could be so fascinating?

  • Ok I have a question to you all:

I was on many flight but on some aircrafts such as the 777 there seemed to be that strange noise during take off( sounds like a compressor or a hair dryer wich is running very high)also vibrations...and it stopped at the time the plane reached cruising level.....as I remeber there was no such noise on the 747 but also on the avro jet ....anybody knows anything....you can also hear it a little in that video here:o)

  • These triple seven engine have huge compressors in the front. Because off their large diameter and the RPM at wich they are running, the tips of the compressor (the forward fan) reaches the speed of sound. The growning sound you hear is the tips of the compressor breaking the sound barrier.

  • i like it! :D

  • nice.thanks!

  • SPOOL DOWN!!!!

  • That is an absolutely marvellous video. Thank you!

  • How are you filming this? Are you allowed to whip out a camcorder as the plane is taking off now? I thought electronics were forbidden during takeoff... I'm flying to California in June and would love to record the takeoff. :)

  • I just shift my phone to airplane mode .. and film .. some cabin crew dont mind, some do .. just have to be lucky! Enjoy your flight!

  • Your phone's camera is awesome!

    Is it a PDA?

    What brand?

  • Nokia N70

  • Awesome.

    Thanks!

  • LMFAO! they are?.. i always recorded my take offs.. and never got in trouble for it

  • Cool vid. Damn that engine is huge! Very quiet too. It's so much quieter than the old JT-9, RB-211, CF-6, etc. It doesn't have that haunting intake moan like those engines have at full throttle.

  • true but the RB211 sounds much better lol its music to your ears

  • Does KLM use the GE-90 engine or does it use PW or Trent?

  • THe GE-90 sir!

  • Which GE90 variant? Is it the 110?

  • GE GE90-115B

  • 115B are only on the 777-300ER and the 777-200LR. not on the 777-200ER as far i can remember.

  • GE-90 was specificly designed for 777

  • It's like this, as far as I remember:

    GE90-94B on 777-200ER and 777-300

    GE90-110B on 777-200LR and 777F

    GE90-115B on 777-300ER

  • ge90-115b can also be mounted on the 777-200LR depends on the airline

  • I doubt it. The GE90-115B was design exclusively for the 777-300ER. Said officially by GE.

  • the GE-90 115B was first introd on the 777-200LR for PIA, it not exclusive to 300ER only but exclusive to 300ER and 200LR

  • nice, clean, smooth & well maintained runway

  • "also all pilots of 777 s have been instructed to occasionally use full throttle, because of possible fuel icing(that was the cause of that 777 crash at heathrow)it was -55 degrees at 38000 feet near canada!"

OMG Thats Not Funny I Have To Go Japan Trans-Polar Route In March!!! WIll It Be Okay!

  • Now that would be nice .. January I go back there so looking forward to it!

  • You know if KLM are now using 77W on their Cairo flights ?

  • seems at the moment it is 747 combi only

  • Okey, good to know, but if you're a FF on the Cairo route, you can expect KLM to upgrade to 77W from the Q1 2009.

  • Very Nice! :)

  • Although CAI might be a relatively short hop for a 747, it could be used to CAI because theres a high amount of traffic/cargo, and it might keep utilisation high, instead of having the a/c on the ground

  • Why do european carriers use such large aircraft for flights to Cairo? Its not really a long haul destination

  • Here in the US, they used to use 747's for transcontinental flights, back in the 70's. That got impractical pretty quick once the energy crisis hit.

  • mag ik dan met je mee vliegen >>>

  • nog 3 jaar en dan kan ik aan de piloten opleiding beginnen als ik slaag dan :P

  • Mag ik gratis vliegen? Xd

  • what does the pilot do around 4:23 when the engine sound gets lower? I allways get nervous at that time.:P
