I used Adobe After Effects. Originally I had a green bit of card over my eye and keylighted out the green, but it didn't work so well. So I motion tracked the greencard and removed it to revel the empty background layer.

The blood on my eye is sweet tasting fake blood from Ebay...mmmmmmm blood.

Thankyou for your kind words. I used adobe after effects. I wore a green patch over my eye and had a shot of the empty background behind me. The plan was to keyout the green, but it didn't work as planned because the room was too dark and there were other green things in shot.  So I masked it out and motion tracked it.
