they are toys that will satisfy hunger?

Good video. We need to watch this and think about it much more often. And we need to start at home. We need to make sure that ALL Americans are safe, with health care, a roof over their heads, food in their stomach and clothes on their back.

And with the trillions of dollars left over from that operation, we need to reach out to the rest of the needy world and show them how it's done. We're Americans. We can do this in a heartbeat if we want to.

I agree entirely .. this year, I will not be exchanging presents with anyone .. I now know that the first 40 Christmas's I've spent on this tiny blue planet were selfish ones .. I plan to start making up for some of that time, and giving back, as much as I can, as often as I am able...

you're right, not just at Christmas either.. humanity isn't a "seasonal item" these feelings should be all year through.

I am so sorry for you loss .. the holidays must be hard for you. I hope that you are able to always remember her, then at least part of her will always be with you. I lost my mom when I was about your age, I'm over 40 now, it's hard sometimes, but it gets easier.

Nobody is free from sins, i might fight for the life and existance of all animals, but i'm ashamed of myself on this matter. Thank you very much for sharing this awfull fact that needs way more attention, this needs a solution!!! Ron - A really good video. I have to admit, I am a little more selfish than you in some ways. I want America to start here, at home, to feed all the hungry people. Once we have taken care of those in the cities around us, then we can take care of the other world citizens that are hungry, uneducated or under-educated, those starving for knowledge, as well as food.

I would not consider that selfish. As a matter of fact, the next song I'm using in a video is "Man in The Mirror" by .. yeah.. Michael Jackson .. but, the line "... if you want to make the world a better place, take a look at yourself, and make that change." seems to fit for countries as well as individuals.

Every year we Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus by buying trinkets no one wants with money we don't have just to be able to stack colorful boxes underneath a dying or dead tree covered in bling.

It would make so much more sense to take that money and send it directly to the people who are suffering everyday for lack of basic necessities. And after Christmas, to continue sending money to organizations that help end poverty, not perpetuate it.

and in the spring, we will all celebrate the Resurrection of Christ by hiding Easter Eggs, and eating Chocolate .. we've done this for generations now, and yet we wonder why our children have no moral or theological compass...

maybe there will be a day when we all get it right.. maybe it's up to all of us to share love, and set an example to the masses..Maybe, just maybe together we can make it a better place...
