i wish Bale would have stuck with using this batman voice. that "darker" voice he tried to pull in the dark knight sucked. tried to sound too menacing. something i think in begins he did naturally like Keaton did
See Bale was brilliant in this scene: He still puts on the voice but you can totally tell that it's Bruce Wayne. It's the only scene in the entire movie where it LOOKS and SOUNDS like Bale behind he mask.
@MrActor123456789 I wish Bale kept this type of Batman voice for The Dark Knight. No where in Batman Begins did he over do the voice, except maybe in the final fight with Ra's in the train, but that was because he was struggling and Ra's was choking him.
i love the batman and this racheal is more better than racheal in the batman dark knight . of course !! christian bale is the best batman in the whole batman movie!!
true. Batman/Bruce went through a hell of a lot more pain both mentally and physically in the Dark Knight than Begins hence i think the extra strain in the voice was warranted.
heheh.. Actually, it was not a cryyyyy.. my eyes just became, say, wet :P
Well.. this whole movie has a personal meaning at the first time I saw that. It was a crazy expirience, because it seems that the movie was a metaphor about the moment of my life, and that line was the key of everything.
@DefiningPurposes Yeah, I love that he reveals his identity by quoting Rachel. It's very touching. I love Bale's seriousness; he truly is a tormented soul.
BECAUSE HE IS ON CRACK...not literally... but understand this , bruce wayne seeks to turn fear against criminals ...if you've ever felt true gut wrenching fear it isn't a roller coaster ride ...ergo the reason Bale chose to play Batman as a barely audible animal and someone you wouldn't want to bump into after stealing an old ladies handbag.he has become fear and that is the entire point of the film.
But it goes overboard where his voice is a distraction to the audience. As a film maker, one often has to make difficult decisions to omit or lessen certain parts of a film for the sake of the film overall. Batman's raspy voice clearly gets in the way.
i disagree i like his voice the way it is and believe it suits Bales batman and what he's tring to achieve . for me it works and i think audiences would not have gone to see the second film if they disliked it.
I'm not saying I dislike the film. But I do find certain faults with it. Its not a perfect movie...how many are anyway? I'm merely pointing out a flaw. There are other aspects of the movie that make up for that. Of course people are gonna go see it regardless...its BATMAN!
Bale's Batman voice had to be the only flaw of the Dark Knight for me. Aside from it being long and the plot got kinda hard to follow... but I digress.
A couple of times I was literally taken out of the film because he was talking so stupid. He sounded like he was swallowing his tongue while talking at one point, and I just remember going "wtf?". But he originally has an accent, and a voice that is far from raspy, what can you do.
I was beginning to think that I was the only one not feeling the batman voice of Bale. Still he is the best batman yet. But his voice just sounds to forced.
i disagree she would have been cool if she hadn't been tainted by the whole tom cruise celebrity thing ...i like tom cruise but he is much more of a celebrity than actor and Holmes shouldn't go down that road. Gyllenhaal has maintained her mystique and was great in tdk.
This scene always make me want to cheer but then again this movie has alot of moments where I just want to cheer and those are moments when the bad guy is not defeated yet.
I agree, his voice in this has to strike fear into his enemies, and also has to be different from Bruce Waynes accent, so not to be recognised. He has to become more than a man, which is why he does this voice, anyone not getting that, you're dumb.
