uhm i think movies actually cost more to make than games. while the production costs are relatively the same (perhaps more with video games), actors actually take up alot of the money because they demand alot of money. with games, unless you are paying a celebrity to do a voice over, then cost is not that bad compared to movies. and games may cost a little more to make sometimes just because it takes longer to make a game

i dont think x-play is ever goin back into the old format maybe if their show was an hour they could do a skit or two. now what they do is track what developers are doing and only review the major games or games that are surprisingly good. to me x-play has matured over the years and now they have a focus on the show, report gaming news. the sess even said it himself if i remember correctly. and the reason they cant make new gaming shows is cuz G4 doesnt have the money.

You hit it right on the head. I used to actually ENJOY watching X-Play, and after the whole format changed, where the only thing they do is advertise developers' shitty games, I still kept watching HOPING for some those moments of brilliance or a return to old but it never materialized.

Plus they used to have a show on G4 where they would document the development of a game or the developers and the studios themselves and that was also really cool and insightful.

Anyone here have game ideas they'd attempt to pitch?

I'll start, their should be a Scott Pilgrim game (based of Brian Lee O'Malley's graphic novel series) developed for the DS or PSP. Gameplay would be modeled mostly after the 2d Castlevania games. Though should be retro mini-games paying homage to 8 bit and 16 bit eras due to the fact that this is an element in the comics.
