Rats!

how do you handle your rats for the first time because i recently got two new rats and i love them to bits but i still havent picked them up one will eat food out my hand but im afraid they will bite me if i just put my hand out with no food. please help :) p.s i wish i could do something like that with my rats soon :P

Rat and owner both pretty, but don't put rats on your head - they piss! I should know, I've had many over the years.

I'm actually well aware of the urine scent marking thing. And it does not bother me. That's what shampoo is for. I also have biirds.. and bird poop in the hair is much more of an event. But I'm the crazy animal lady.. and poop happens! :P~

We got 3 horses, 4 dogs, 3 cats, 1 turtle, countless rabbits and guinea pigs, about 5 fish..

We used to have alot more fishes, cats and horses, but I think we're just trying to settle down now..

Haha, thankyou! I'm definately jealous. I want ducks and chickens! I'd love a rooster!!! But my ultimate dream animal (since I can't realistically have a hippo)is a goat. :)
