I share your fury! xD I could go on and on about all the wrong things they did to the movie but then I would run out of characters so hereitgoes!

1. No claiming. Just, "*GASP* My dads Phosidon" (BLAH, CAN'T SPELL) 2. No Clarisse. So that meant no toilet scene!! D: I LOVED that part! 3. Instead of getting the three pearls from the nyad they wander across america to find them D: 4. They made the students in like 8th grade witch almost enirely ruins the chances of a second. Im out of characters!D:

lol! You're not as much as a nerd of me! My friends and I are are planing a "Percy Party" that is totally Percy themed and everything. lol! And yeah, I was soo mad about the movie! Annabeth is my fav character and the totally runied her! And there was no Thalia's pine tree. I was very mad. But they are doing the rest of the series, which doesn't make sense... anyway, yeah I think you're totally right... love the shirt btw!

The whole story was completely changed. instead of calling the movie the lighting thief they should have called it the pearl retriever because the whole movie was about the fricking pearls that the water spirit gave Percy in the book! This movie just sucks!!!

I totally agree with you!!! I hated Annabeth!!!! I love Annabeth in the books, WHAT IN THE WORLD DID THEY DO WITH THE BOOK? I don't think they could have destroyed it anymore!!!! Where did the oracle go? I hated that law that Zues 'made' is stupid! That was a completely and utterly awful book to movie transition.

The plot in the movie was so horrible, there wasn't even a story it was just a bunch of special effects, and there wasn't any rivalry between Percy and Annabeth, so the movie was just so shitty, reading the books is better.

Ok u r 100% correct and these are just some of the things that were wrong with the movie:

The casting was horrible(Annabeth was brunette and grover was cool)

no arch

no hephasus scene

no prophocy

no clarisse and ares

Kronus was like just a side part in the movie meaning they won't make any more

Lotus casino they were eating FLOWERS!

Not once did annabeth call percy seaweed brain

It did not consist of the same humor of the book

I saw the preview not even 4 hours ago ( I just got back from watching Avatar XD) and I was resisting standing up and screaming something like "You're supposed to be BLOND!!!" when Annabeth came on the screen, it irritated me too. And usually I don't mind the fact that some movies are completely different from the book, and I still want to see this movie. But I swear, they screwed it up major, I'm sure it has it's moments, but still.

The movie: Yeah, they TOTALLY butchered the plot, but for some reason, I found what they did very creative and different. Overall, I actually liked the movie. I was okay with the changes. I got over all that while anticipating for the release so I ultimately enjoyed it in the end. Yeah, I'm a die hard pjo fan, i did hate the changes, but got over them.
