This video looks frighteningly like the way I fought the core with 3hp/minimum items, except I swapped between blade lv3 and polar star to deal damage and destroy projectiles.

the undead core is pathetically easy, that fight has so many enemies that drop hearts, it would be hard for me to lose it

That song goes amazingly well with the whole scene (door closing, the core coming alive, etc)
