try to check if in the electronic compartment of the guitar has been placed the magnetic fields aluminium shield and/or some graphite varnish for the same reason. If they are, you should try your amp with another guitar and, if you anyway obtain these squeals, the problem is in the amp itself; if not, it could be some ground cable of the pickups,so you can google for the electronic diagram of your guitar and ask a more experienced friend of yours if all the solderings are yet in working order.bye!
First of all line 6 blows dick, and i had the same problem with mine its porbably your cables or your amp so stop freaking out and adjust your amp settings, and learn how 2 play guitar first
ahh man, put a faraday cage in the bastard! :) get some tin foil, open up the electronic section, and lay the tinfoil on the perimiter, do the same in the pickup
i have this exact same problem.. i just got home from a gig and when in rehearsal i have the volume just under half way on my guitar to get rid of the squeal and at the gig i had it down even lower >.> i think its a problem wit the soldering of the pickup or the pickup itself.. it only happens on the one L&M had to fix one of the coils for.
if anyone knows anything i can do, please help. i made a video to show the squeal as well.. :/
I had the same problem, it did that on my 3rd gig with it (1st and 2nd it didn't) but then i used it with a Monster Rock cable with the 24 karot gold connectors and now it plays great on full volume...at least on my Vox it does idk about Line 6
The guitar itself is amazing, full mahogany body and neck, set thru neck, gorgeous fretboard, and plays like a dream for a low price. Unfortunately, mine has the same squeal
I have a Line 6 Spider II and i get that same problem...
out of a Gibson Les Paul Classic and a Jackson RR5. Either it's the amp (i hope so because over the years i have grown to hate Line 6 anyway) or yeah, both guitars need the pickups wax potted. I doubt i have a faulty Gibson and Jackson... though it IS possible i guess.
woow, I got a dean v, something around 2007 model, and I really love how it plays but I got the exact same problem with it... sounds exactly the same at higher volumes when not playing, it's pretty annoying but I think it's the pickups? gonna switch to emg's or bill lawrence in a few weeks and I hope that'll solve the annoying feedback shit.
If the feed back is there when you mute the string then something in your signal chain has gone microphonic. If the feed back stops when you turn your volume down all the way then the offender is your pickup. Most likely the metal cover. Have the pickups wax potted with the covers on and that should cure it.
theres a reason why they all of the sudden made deans so cheap to buy..... finally figured it out, thanks alot you cheap bastards. destroyed a future classic brand. just after i bought one too
Its not just pups taht make guitars sound good/bad.. its how they work with the materials of the guitar also, the wood the body is made from is very much important, as is the bridge type, fret board etc.
this guitar probably has a crappy wood so you gotta be careful with pups.
i agree with FOREVA01....the amp sucks line 6 amps have to many presets and or/distortion that its very compressed and causes it to squeal like that sometimes, i hear it all the time on any guitar...and maybe a combo problem of a faulty input jack or cable
Digital amp maybe doesn`t go well with your high-output pickups?
I`ve heard Line6 are a risky brand..

Assuming you got the guitars volume and tone maxed out as well as the amps gain, at that volume it will squeal like that.
So dial down the gain as well as the guitars tone a little
MaidenFan24568 8 months ago
if you're facing the guitar to the amp with high gain, IT WILL probably squeal... it's called "feedback"...
potatojuice321 10 months ago
Problems can be many.
Cable, too much gain, amplifier, too many pedals can cause very much noise.
More problably, the ground wire of your guitar came off, take your guitar to a expert.
P.S. If you're guetar squeals at high volume, I can bet that the fault is of the amp.

is the guitar it self good becides the pickups?

If the problem goes away when you turn the volume down then your pickups are microphonic and need to be wax potted.

Does the feed back go away when you turn the volume knob down?
SearcySW 2 years ago
I think it does a litle bit, but I need to have the vol knob all the way for good tone. ??
