@Anuvalostsoul The heat didn't melt the beams obviously you dipshit, the heat only weakened them to the point that they could not longer support the weight. The petrol is 100% capable of being hot enough to do that. At 600 degrees it is nowhere near the melting point but if you have ever used a forge to forge steel you would know that you pound it into different shapes with only 500-600 degrees and its weaker. Same thing happened here. coupled with loss of beams on impact and it collapses.

The second tower was hit first and collapsed last because the impact was higher on the tower.

Since the entire weight of the top half was leaning over that gaping hole all it took was the structure to be weakened on the other side and and it gave way.

The petrol is 100% capable of being hot enough to do that. At 600 degrees it is nowhere near the melting point but if you have ever used a forge to forge steel you would know that you pound it into different shapes with only 500-600 degrees and its weaker. Same thing happened here. coupled with loss of beams on impact and it collapses.

This was enough to cause the same effect the entire way to the ground buckling each floor as it went and gaining more momentum and force as it progressed. The second tower was hit first and collapsed last because the impact was higher on the tower.

@Anuvalostsoul The fact that the tower had the beams along one face blown out completely is the biggest cause. If not for that the structure could taken the heat and still remained intact. Since the entire weight of the top half was leaning over that gaping hole all it took was the structure to be weakened on the other side and and it gave way.
