  • Written by an extraordinary black woman - an under-sung heroine of this poster, although, I realise, that is a slightly inappropriate term.

  • Shall I be wafted to the skies

    On flowery beds of ease

While others strive to win the prize

    And sail on bloody seas

My favorite verse. Got it from Arlo Guthrie.

  • am I missing something here????

I love the song, but this sounds like anyone with a guitar in any church

  • Hello

    Lew...

'Amazin' grace how sweet the sound' could most certainly apply to your priceless musical gift that you have so kindly provided us here...filled with heart and sincerity. Many thanks for this fine share. If you ever get the opportunity to visit The Smithsonian in Washington,D.C.,they have a wonderful preservation program called "Save The Music"...the original disc recording held there in the archives, was one of the earliest recipients of this endeavor.

    Peace,

    Stewball
