The family name (Sorbe) had Cuman (Kun) origin, her sister had Catholic name Klara. Her Hungarian mother give that name, so she wasn't ortodox. The Romanian historians even argued about his name (Ioan Corvin, Ioan de Hunedoara or Iancu de Hunyadi etc), and decided his vlah origin without any fact in XIX century.
