It sucks that it has to be compatible with select phones. I have a Motorola Cliq and I really cant see why its not supported. The browser doesn't have flash, so what makes it more demanding than other browsers that work? Usually you'll see the requirements only saying something like for Android 2.0, 2.1 or higher.

For something like Firefox which is very popular we all should be able to use it. Some of us are stuck on contracts and don't have money to just get the latest high end phone.

I prefer osx the best, windows has many security threats, linux is very secure fast stable but lack of supported software is a drag. osx has all the benfits of linux and windows. and dont mention games cuz i have an xbox for my games :)

@MGBlacks They're used in the media because people often use them for editing (Final Cut Pro is insanely popular). They're also around 14% of the US market, so not unheard of.

Also I don't see why they'd show a desktop running Linux. You'd need to find someone with a working Linux install for the shoot, and then nobody would notice or care.

Just test firefox 4 on captivate. Lag, Flash need install plugin, load web page too slow, pin-zoom too lag. Yeah! stock browse and Dolphin HD is better and faster, pin-zoom very smooth. Firefox for android must uninstall.
