  • I love this song so much. I love Saviour Machine very very much :)

  • dois BR

  • Es gibt nicht genügend Worte, um das auszudrücken, was "Saviour Machine" in mir auslöst. Ich kann nur immer wieder sagen "Perfektion" pur.

  • i like this band it change me many wayz

  • O dear o dear, the stage act with the flag is too ridiculous to allow for starting a serious discussion in the comments underneath! Sht sht you all, be gone! I hope the "Invasion of Israël" which I am about to watch is going to be sensible, if not I am going to flag this whole band :-P

  • I'm not taking sides on this stupid argument in the comments, I just think its funny how much time Christians waste arguing and insulting each other.

  • I forgot how much I loved Saviour Machine.

  • This band looks better then how they sound LOL

  • Great!

  • the saving machines tribal systems and so on and so on ............

  • I think some of the imagery in the first verse might be a metaphor on abortion as well. When this song was written that debate was really heated in the US, might also explain the use of the flag.

  • Flag me as spam. I dont care. Just legitamate questions that apparently no one has an answer to.

  • @mastbam

I believe he is talking about Revelation 18:24 KJV

And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth I believe It's not an actual women that he's talking about. it is the false church that the beast will be in league with to lead many astray to take his mark on them after Christ return to take all of us who are in him up to heaven. To copy a post from another viewer.

  • @Beanbandit27 Thanks for your insight. Some think of "her" as Isreal, not an actual women. The song just seamed disturbingly sexual for a band tha claims to be christian. Im not trying to be contrary(I did see them live in 93-I commented on the show a little lower on the comments page.) I reead the preface to Eric Claytons Journals that are being published. The "language" he uses and the warning to young readers that his journals may be graphic in nature is disturbing to me.

  • @Beanbandit27 I really get the impression Eric Clayton is a disturbed individual. Im not his judge, I just get a wierd vibe from him like I did at his show athe new union club in minneapolis in 93. They were booted off the stage. You can read about it on the net. The christian club is now called club 3 degrees in a downtown location. Thanks for your insight and suggestions. God bless.

  • @mastbam I'm curious, did you go to the White Castle afterwards like a lot of fans apparently did? Might have been a good time to ask Eric some questions... Anyway, all I can seem to find is that the promoters didn't like the content of the show which - all things considered - is a little odd... Maybe they haven't read those bits of the bible though... However you're right, you aren't his judge and mustn't base an assessment of a person on a 'vibe'. Just a suggestion... God bless

  • @DeceptionOfTheState Im 36 and the show was 18 years ago. Didnt go to whitecastle. I never heard of saviour machine and was at the show to see Deliverance. Part of what the union didn't like was the jewel on his forehead and at one point appeared to be levatating. Guess you had to be present. The wierd vibe isn't an assessment of him, it was a feeling, a feeling that everyone can have from time to time warning them that something isn't right. The show felt evil to me-sue me! So do his journals!

  • @mastbam Well mainstream christianity has long been good at condemning and persecuting those who don't conform to the mainstream, huh? It's amazing enough that they havent just removed the sicker stories from the bible (would save half of printing costs, too). But well, keep poking at the splinters you see in people's eyes ;), externalization of flaws is a great way to stay happy.

  • @sorsocksfake I dont like saviour machine i now dislike the bible? I need all bible stories to be G-rated? im mainstream christianity? I condemn people if they are not mainstream? Did I ever condemn SV for not conforming to the mainstream?(whatever that means) I like how someone can condemn me and other "mainstream" christians and give me talk of splinters! Is not just SV-my kids aren't allowed to listen to Eminem either! But they will know who Jesus even if they dont know SV.

  • @mastbam Just going on a few of your comments I read. Vibes are a sign of being non-mainstream. In the Bible, god had such awful vibes that anyone who saw him dropped dead - do you condemn him? As for graphic language, the bible has a lot of very sick stories, so I figured those are a problem as well (assuming no double standard). Splintertalk: I'm no christian; I did poke most wood from mine own eye though. Hope you know what I'm saying with these things.

  • @mastbam In addition. As a non-believer I admire Saviour Machine (and the Bible) as artistic value, even if I disagree with content. Eminem has a few good songs, most are trash imo. Will your children know Jesus? Or will they know a selection of views you tell them to know? As for me condemning, youtube doesn't give room for a proper argument, so I just toss up some balls :). Just food for thought, as such - if it offends, wonder why those nerves are so touchy. Or look away, your choice :).

  • um brasileiro por aki curtindo o saviuor

  • @mastbam I'm sorry your message got flagged as spam. Obviously someone else who viewed this page was offended by your comment. And you are right. 1) There are many bands out there that use quotes from the Bible in their songs that declare themselves secular bands. As a matter of fact, the devil himself quoted the Bible to Jesus on the 40th day of His fast. 2) And you do have legitimate questions. A religion that can't stand up to simple questioning is weak.

  • @mastbam I would encourage you to view the other Saviour Machine videos posted here on youtube. This is definitely not the only song that they have put out. And if you listen to the other songs that they have put out, I am confident that you will not only hear the Christian message they totally believe in, but you will also hear the message of love that only come from Jesus Christ himself. I also encourage you to visit and ask questions on Saviour Machine's and Eric Clayton's facebook page.

  • @mastbam Eric does answer the questions and messages of people that send him messages on facebook. And sorry I wrote so many replies. :-) God bless you my friend. You can never find answers unless you ask questions.

  • So tell me exactly where in revalations it talks about dragons sliding between her thighs until blood comes from her eyes. I cant find it. And where does it talk about "her"(the woman apparently being mounted by a dragon) drinking the blood of prophets and saints? I can't find it. Seriously. Is this in the bible or just poetic license?

  • i am the lords follower praise from oklahoma

  • NOT MUSIC IS EVIL only the lyrics,.. let´s sing out the truth massage louf JESUS LIVES

  • Saw thes guys in 93 at the new union in minneapolis. They were opening for Deliverance. I would have cut thier power and kicked them off the stage too! As far as a christian message, singing about the book of revelations doesnt make you a christian band. (for example Metallica) The main thing I got from the lead singer is that he had a fascination with demons and the devil. Just my perception. The interesting thing is that I wasnt the only one that thought that.

  • Awesome song.

  • Fantastic band, music, and video. Historic.

  • ...

  • wtf with the american flag?im gonna puke..

  • Comment removed

  • they should get a rhythm guitarist

  • @onixtheone I agree.

  • @jessiewilson3 haha ill do it(:

  • I'm not a christian, in fact i am a hard atheist, but that doesn't mean i cant appreciate this. This guy is an incredible singer, sings perfectly live , with strong lyrics, and a talented band to back him up. Whether i 'believe' in his lyrical content or not doesn't make this band any less great.

  • real passion!! still love SM

  • @dummermut

I read SM in the wrong way O.o.

Note to self: NEVER abbreviate it :S.

  • I think (as a non-american remember) the flag is there because it is his country, and the song refers to how the Anti-christ will devour all nations and unite the world under Satan's flag, in the song he says "And as the leaders of the nations follow single file" My opinion is that he is refering to how his freedom (represented by the flag he is clinging on to) is at risk from the corruption of the world, that the Anti-Christ will use to gain power.

    God Bless, from Norway

  • @Kayoz14

No, he's wearing the flag because of this song their CD got banned from American music shops. They didn't like the sentence: "The dragon slides between her thighs." So, now, as an act of irony, he wears this flags. I read it in the booklet of their cd Synopsis, a collection cd with songs from many different albums of them. I think it shows a great sense of humor that he does it! God bless from the Netherlands:)

  • @ByMjolnirsChords

Hey! Would you know of any Dutch Christian bands that sing in Dutch?

I learn Dutch (have been for quite some time), but I haven't bumped into any Christian bands (unless you count Slechtvalk). Any genre... other than hip-hop or rap. Gabba's ok...

Thanks! And thanks for the insight into the song!

  • @SupremeCommanderSil

Ehm.. I know some. There's this dutch folk metal band called Heidevolk, which makes great music, and which sings in Dutch. A doom metal band called "Akelei" which does the same. They are not christian, though. When it comes to christian bands.. You can try "opwekking." It's a dutch band/project that does worship music for churches. But cool christian music in dutch... There are some songs from Rikkert Zuiderveld around on youtube. He makes some great music. Simple, pure.

  • @ByMjolnirsChords

I know Heidevolk (and I somehow managed to get an album when I went to Sydney O.o), Heideroosjes, Acda en de Munnik and other non-Christian bands.

    Thanks :).

  • @SupremeCommanderSil

Seems like you know some already! If any good christian band that sings in dutch comes to mind I will tell you. Too bad good dutch music seems to be scarce. Good in the sense of christian, of course. Slechtvalk has one old dutch nummer, did you hear that? I wish you all the luck learning dutch:) It's a good language, I like it the most in it's older version than just plain modern dutch. Old dutch words are beautiful.

  • @ByMjolnirsChords

    Thanks :).

  • Not really metal, but good, and the world is crude and hatefull I can't understand why they would band this from Christian book stores

  • @Ferosaur So please, share with us all what exactly you're referring to. This song is straight out of the book of Revelations. I know the church here on earth is far from perfect, but we cannot improve ourselves if someone says there is 'so much wrong with the church of the US and the Western world' but gives nothing specific to change. Perhaps you should remove the plank from your own eye before being critical of a band that has reached and changed thousands of lives for the cause of Christ.

  • @Beanbandit27 For one thing, why must this Christian bury himself in this weak and transparent doom-n-gloom "tragic" pretence? It doesn't matter that his music says nice things, Biblical things, non-offensive things. He looks like Boy George. Listen, I am a Christian and a metal head. I USED to think goth culture was cool, but then I grew up and saw it for what it is. It reeks of self-defeat, self pity, despair, sexual immorality, fascination with death and the occult. I could go on.

  • @Ferosaur It's just appropriating an aestethic. There is nothing doom-n-gloom by itself about white makeup and a cape. This band does not "reek" of anything you mention.

  • @otheraccountish What's the point of the aesthetic? Why is he trying to look like a cenobite?

  • @Ferosaur the "only" way we can improve ourselves is to recognize things are wrong. Some of the most satanic bands in the world have songs straight out of the book of revelation. Example: dimmu borgir.

  • @mastbam And Dimmu Borgir is a black metal band whom do not acknowledge Christ is Lord!

  • Comment removed

  • @Beanbandit27 So tell me exactly where in revalations it talks about dragons sliding between her thighs until blood comes from her eyes. I cant find it. And where does it talk about "her"(the woman apparently being mounted by a dragon) drinking the blood of prophets and saints? I can't find it. Seriously.

  • @Beanbandit27 the "only" way we can improve ourselves is to recognize things are wrong. Some of the most satanic bands in the world have songs straight out of the book of revelation. Example: dimmu borgir. Deicide, metallica

  • @mastbam First off, Metallica isn't Satanic. And, just because Dimmu Borgir is a black metal band, doesn't NECESSARILY mean they are Satanic. (I have mixed feelings about them)

Second off, the "woman" is in Revelation. Look at Revelation 12. It may not have ALL of what this song says. However, this song refers to the woman giving birth, whether it specifically says that or not. It says that the dragon waited for her to give birth so he could take the child. That's what this song is.

  • @mastbam Also, it explains "The Woman on the Beast" as well. It says "And as the leaders of the nations follow single file, and all the brothers of the legion drift upon the Nile, to face the beast in all its ecstasy, and dreams of our betrayal" which describes the 10 nations who will follow the Antichrist at first, then betray him. Please research the lyrics and compare them to the Bible before you condemn their music. I assure you, they ARE Christian.

  • @Ferosaur I don't think you understand where Eric was coming from. A legion was a Roman military unit. And he is drawing a direct comparison with modern America as an empire. The song is not promoting American militarism and interventionism.

  • @Ferosaur Take mohamed and stick him back in the sand. You are so transparent. Don't you have a woman to stone today?

  • @crossworked What makes you think I'm Muslim? I definitely am a Christian.

  • This song would probably make a good hymn for church. Who agrees?

  • ESTA BANDA SE VA AL CARAJO...ES DE LO MAS BUENO QUE EH ESCUCHADO... ESPERO SIGAN CON ESTO A FULL.

  • It's probably in the book of Revelations.

  • Why was it banned?

  • @earthalien77 They probably thought that the style sounds like something that is anti-Church. TBH it doesn't matter what voice u praise the Lord in as long as you do it wholeheartedly :)

  • Why the American flag?

  • i love this whole album ! it's the best one.

  • Sorry to say that, but beside the christian message, this band sucks. This is not gothic is just metallic sounds with a brainwashing religious message

  • @ShioriKaro I Personally think your a Fool thinking that its about Religion. Religion is man made but I Guess to everyone each his Own.

  • Quite a good tune. Listened to the lyrics. Can't really understand why this was banned from Christian bookshops. Anyone any more info on that?

  • @Shazoolo They banned it because they said it brought a bad image. I know its stupid

  • amazing song, i used to practice vocals to this song a lot. damn shame what happened to clayton's voice... at least Legend part III will be released, but only half of the songs will have his singing in it.

  • @tekqitonstudios Who will be singing the other half?

  • @forthebrotherhood no one :( it'll be intrumental with him giving narrations of the story. and some tracks will just be the music.

  • k bien..........tienes una vos estupenda

  • Great song

  • Amazing band and one of their best songs!

    Anyone knows about Legend III:II??

  • @ch00089 They had a bunch of samples on their website a while back but it all seems to have gone quiet again...

  • great band!

  • Song is based on Revelations

First time I heard of this group

Gothic merely reflects a bracketed age group, that is Young and alive with new ideas

I am sad to learn this gothic Christian metal group was banned them from numerous Christian book stores across the USA.

Rather Blessings to this Group as the Lord God embraces your Youth and your innovative ideas

  • aaaah i love his voice O.o

  • Comment removed

  • @TheEscapist0 Jews and Christians are very different...

And he wears the flag during this song 'cos the lyrics got their album banned from some American shops :)

  • Jews and Christians aren't *that* different and what are you talking about he wears the flag b/c his lyrics got him banned from some American shops, no some "Christian" bookstores are too damn sensitive to understand that Revelation is a very graphic book and what SM sings about is graphic and those bookstores can bite it hard.

  • Saviour Machine are the greatest Gothic Christian band I can think of. God bless you guys.

  • man, this band is sooo owesome!!

I would like to spend an hour with Eric Clayton and I hope they'll bring out the new album soon!

    God bless the band!

  • hey evilman99, your father ave luciferi was created for GOD, hahahahah, now who is your daddy?

  • Thats rehab numb nuts..

  • i love this band and every song they sing with a passion i would love to meet the singer

  • @creamsicle8888 I know the singer, no joke Very cool guy!

  • @creamsicle8888 Eric, the lead singer, is a very nice guy! I met him in person in 2001, and he is a really cool guy

  • There is nothing wrong with me fool! I just possess to much depth for your shallow mind. Stups usually think the intelligent crazy or insane. Your abhorrent ignorance is most revolting. How dare you breathe!

  • Down With Xianity!

    Hail the One True Father

    Ave Luciferi

  • I cannot describe how much i would like to talk with you hours on end if you are open for discussion.

  • I'm always open for frank discussion.

  • Your kind shall never be rid of me.

  • Anne Rice is a christian (Catholic). I love it how I'm finding out that all of us little nightkind are accepted in Christ's message. God's light is not just the light of the sun, but the light of the moon at night :)

  • Yes, that i sso right!

  • This song is inspired by the book of Revelation. :)

  • Eric's the best singer ever...his voice oh, it's like hearing God's voice. I'ts a trip!

  • God, I love his voice.

Wait. So what part of the Bible is it taken from?

  • Hmm, well, Satan can't have Goth music anymore, these guys are far better that any of his bands, time to move on... Next up SATANIC EASY-LISTENING JAZZ!!! God bless from Norway.

  • haha, satanic easy-listening jazz, love it

    ...

this band is one of my favourites of all time, cant wait for the final part, i hope Eric is fully well soon so he can finish it

  • Hahahaha! I laugh hard at that comment!

  • Goth is not Satanic. It is a way for little kids who are rebelling against their xian family to piss them off. Nothing more.

  • honestly, I can agree with the part of Gothis not satanic, but that we all should be rebellious little kids? No, I fr one do not go under rebellious or kid. I am a Christian grownup who just happens to be Goth. I know others that are the same.

  • @Kayoz14 Amen to that!

  • This is why the American Church is lost! They sit all proud and lofty in there pews and pretty before their four walls, they speak pretty words that are empty, and hold on to calvinism so they dont have to come to grips that they too will suffer in the end. poor wicked Christians Proud the american church has become a den of demons they speak of foul doctrine, oh you proud american churchs satan has scattered you. You hold on to legalism what christ came to destroy. oh weep and repent you lost.

  • Hmm... Sounds like you're sterotyping too me. You sound like a 13 year old emo kid. Why would you listen to goth music if your emo?

  • i love the music.......... i do not like christianity very much, but it doesnt matter, i like this stuff,,,,,

  • Why do you even bother to say anything? you are a very dissturbed person! To wish someones death, that is sick. Just do us a favor and do not make any more dissturbed comments!

  • Music is music. It's the message that makes the difference.

  • If a Christian store would ban them for this... Then why would they sell bibles lol? There's some pretty graphic stuff in the bible... And most of the lyrics are taken direct..... Oh well... Idiots.

  • this is talking about the end of the new testament where the women comes out of the cave and she runs and hides for 7 years to be caught be the dragon and she fights the dragon and how she killed the dragon. it's also about how Jesus can save us all if we just take his hand

  • So why's it banned from Christian bookstores then?

  • to quote darrell mansfield..whom i met in person and seen his live show in 1995 ..

" there is no such thing as an evil note..just intent ' .i listen to dreamevil and petra. i know the difference. but some musicians take black metal too far at times. its all imaginary fiction in most secular metal. the bands don't really live by the songs they write and preform. Christian music however does reflect the views of those artists.. bottom line.. GOD is the only true judge of the heart and intent.

  • I Love You Saviour Machine...and this music is to Glory of GOD...

    Haleluia :)

Come here BRAZIL.... please ... ;*****

  • This is christian metal

Why the fuck is it banned in christian storen?!

    Thats fucking.. hypocrit..

  • ahh..my theme song...saviour machine is the BEST

  • There should be more bands like this. I don't care about the subject matter (Christianity), its still really good.

  • seriously!!!!!!!!!!!

  • So he is, but this band is pretty damn good.

  • BM isn't defined as satanic Music. There pretty good christian BM Bands out there like Antestor or Crimson Horizont.

  • Where in the Bible does it define what appearing to be gay is...lol

  • we are living in the age of corruption my friends

  • there are a lot of christian hard and metal bands like skillet, theocracy and many more

just google and you wil find a lot

  • skillet is not metal, but yes, there are many Christian metal bands out there.

  • Well lyrics ....i just cant say anything, metal and christianity have seperate ways in my opinion ...

But they play nice music ,really powerful ,so ...respect .

  • this is one of about 3 christian gothic metal bands i know of

    savior machine:we all know

virgin black:VERY dark mixed with doom and death metal

    fearful symmetry:gothic industrian and electronica

  • i didnt know there was a goth christian band. just an example that all ears will hear the word of the Lord. you cant escape it!!!!!!!

  • tell me why not???

  • No really! Why not?

I dont see how they contradict each other.

I mean they even sound christian sort off.

Metal and spirituality goes together pretty well.

  • I enjoy Saviour Machine's music, I prefer HB, personally (I know, sue me) and I think Eric Clayton appearing on Ayreon's Human Equation album rightly places the band into a more mainstream audience. The only thing that bothers me is why did Eric Clayton say the "b***s***" word in an interview when asked about his album? I'm no religious nut whatsoever, but is this really okay?

  • Well look at it this way. It's just a word. And the meaning isn't particularly offensive is it? it just means 'a load of excrement'. If he was using sexual words or blasplhemy then yeah, not so fitting for a christian.

  • Well Paul said..."8Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but DUNG, that I may win Christ.

Well if you want to be more blunt the equivalent of Dung would BULLSHIT.

  • i like this music and lyrics,

but i aks myself over and over again if i see Saviour Machine's video's why all that acting with chains and blood and stuff?

  • Well, during the concert video, I did see a lot of use of chains and blood (not real, of course). With Saviour Machine, the chains and the blood represents something something. For example, chains most commonly represent bondage from something, and the blood could represent anything from the Blood of Christ to the blood of Christians under persecution for the cause of Christ. Saviour Machine is what we call rock opera, so most of their imagery is going to be reminiscent of a play.

  • Thank you for your comment it is clear for me now =)

  • Exactly!It doesn't show Christ....

  • And why are Christian blackmetal vids, mixed with satanik ones? They must be:streamed as one!I've seen here before.

  • Again where in the Bible is "blackmetal" music mentioned as "satanic" ?

  • @jbr7rr they sing about the end of the world which it will be the bloodiest time in history especially when God turns the oceans, lakes and rivers to blood

  • Friends, I owe all of you a HUGE apology. My information about Eric Clayton's health was in serious error. Yes, he did have a serious problem with his throat, but there was no cancer involved at all. I feel kinda stupid for getting everyone so worried. The word I have read on the official Saviour Machine forums from the moderator is that Eric is doing well and has mentioned wanting to finish the latest cd, Legend III:II. Again, my sincerest apologies to all of you and my best wishes to Eric!

  • "Can you recognize where in the Bible this song is taken from?" Revelation 12 and 17... so?

  • Just a question I put in the comments... nothing special.

  • @adambeattie

Well, apparently Christian book stores across the US can't recognize it.

  • @Buradorii2

Undoubtedly. Having worked in a Christian bookstore I can attest that they aren't necessarily the bastion of either (A) great doctrine or (B) recognizing Biblical content. While we can have fun thrashing the state of the church, suffice it to say that I'm not surprised this song got them kicked out of the bookstores.

  • so i don't know what this refers to? can someone educate me?

  • Awesome vid !! Is there a list of Christian Metal and Gothic Bands?

  • noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooossa

  • Looks pretty alive to me....

  • full of life to me. you've got some serious awareness problems akos

  • Ehh you just replied to me

  • This song is so amazing.

  • first time i hear of them and also the first i listen and i have to say its pretty good, i dont listen to goth but i like this one

  • never thought i'd listen to goth. i'm addicted to this band. they are amazing. they remind me that God helps me get through my days

  • Truly moving.

    So powerful.

    So...

    Righteous.

  • GREAT REALLY GREAT

  • simplesmente o melhor,...

  • One of the best songs ever!
