  • My favorite was Route 201!

  • A recommendation. You might want to consider using a game like "Smart Ball" or "Jerry Boy 2" for the SNES soundfont, as both games are done by GameFreak and might be a closer sound set. Same goes with Game Boy, it might have been better to use Gen 1 or Gen 2's sound sets.

  • Sounds like the Sound from OLD Pokemon games like the YELLOW/BLUE/RED versions...... Great job ;) I like the violin/Flute sounds Niiiiiiiice xD

  • @DrawerElma Gr! They should totoally remake those sounds and put them in the game instead! It sounds better like this! At least I think so.....

  • The 2600 actually has 2 sound channels and it would have been cool if you had used both of them simultaneously. Awesome work nonetheless though!

  • @Deokishisu I know. I have another remix using a 2600 emulator, but it sounds awful.

  • im sure i herd route 201 on a mario rom hack ?

  • wow those remixes sure sounds like theyre really for those game engines!

  • Hey, I love all of your videos! Could you please send me the font for Pokémon Red/Blue? I've been looking for one everywhere but couldn't find it. I need it for an RMXP game I'm making based off of Pokémon Red. Thanks in advance.

  • Oddly, Route 201 reminds of something from a Mario game.

  • so true!

  • the atari 2600 version is epic!

  • some parts of route 201 sound like the hg ss version. awesome!^^

  • Did you go to Dafont for the fonts? I go there all the time, and thats called Super Mario (i think)

  • I don't remember where I got the fonts, but I've got well over 3500 of them. If you want all of my Pokémon ones, just ask.

  • How did you make the 4-bit Atari2600 one?

  • Read the descripion. I also saw your comment on the one where I show it in DOS.

  • mario composer

  • wow just amaing!

  • It's difficult to find Game Boy mixes that actually use Game Boy samples. I'd like to hear more of these from you.

  • nice song

  • Cold you do route 225 SNES

  • i liked the route 201 rendition in supernintendo style

  • Can you please tell me what programs you used? :3

  • I explain it all in the description.

  • I'm gonna check out your site! X33

  • Route 201 and the Uxie/Mespirit/Azelf battle sounded the best, in my personal opinion. :D

  • You should remix Green/Blue's theme from Red/Green/Blue in DOS, Atari 2600, or Famicom form.

  • the mesprit/uxie/azelf remix would have been a good legendary battle music in the old games, i mean it technically made for the old games.

  • this rocks, could you do route 209 in 8-bit or 16-bit form

  • i loooove the gameboy one with uxie mesprite etc.

  • Cat333Pokémon uploaded D/P retro remixes!

    It's UBER-EFFECTIVE!

  • A CRITICAL HIT!

  • It's super effective.! LATIOS fainted.!

  • *insert pokemon here* gained *insert number here* Exp. Points.

  • Giratina gained 99999999999999999999999999999999999 Exp- Points.

  • LOL!

  • Damn, they should've made Missingno. a real Pokémon :P

  • Make a sequel with different songs and throw the NES in there too. 5 stars. \(^o^)/

  • This video is super-effective!

  • :D.....

  • super nintendo sounds like mario paint

  • Haha Uxie/Mesprit/Azelf was the best! Reminds me of the first "Super Mario Land" game for the GameBoy! Merry Christmas!

  • d(^_^)b thumb up for this video!

  • lol Route 201 sounds like an old Yoshis Island Theme Song.

  • it's so amazing... I love pokemon music... it's so oldschoolish all though dp was never around back then... but I love it! I'm glad I'm not the only one who plays the game with headphones in... DANG I JUST LOST THE GAME!

  • from what i heard, the atari 2600 is only capable of one length note, i dont remember an atari having half notes and such

  • ok, I now know that the snes music comes from a snes emulator, but, WHERE YOU OBTAINED THE GAMEBOY, ATARI ONES?

  • The Game Boy ones were MIDIs I made, played back with a special Game Boy SoundFont. The Atari one was put together in a really old program known as QBasic for DOS. It was actually progammed to make the computer beep.

  • The SNES one sounds too basic for SNES. When I think SNES music I think like FF2(4).

  • how do you put the music in the emulators?did you use a chiptune or what? please post a tutorial

  • the snes one sounds more like n64 than it ._.

  • The SNES ones are actually coming directly out of a SNES emulator.

  • sorry 0_o

  • Loved it. I am now subscribed. I liked the snes remixes!

  • You know what they should make? Software that, after picking music up from a computer mic, can convert it into Game Boy or NES style Music. That would kick butt!

  • awsome!

  • at the route201 remix i can se mario riding on starly

  • the first one reminds me of super mario world

lol you even used the font the second reminds me

    of king dedede's theme

  • I gave you one star for being a gay ass n00b.

  • No, and Mephiles is the most unoriginal character ever.

  • Wow i like it :D Lemme put it to my favourites :D

  • que gracioso

  • i hate that thief

  • gameboy for trainer isnt either

  • atari is not the best its only one instrument

  • The Atari 2600 can actually output two simultaneous channels at once. The Game Boy one is nothing compared to my NES ones in "8-bit NES Pokémon DPP Remix".

  • I wanna play a retro game now! :0

    These are just plain awesome!

You must have a lot of free time on your hands... :/

  • i like the SNES trainer battle best but the rest still rock!

  • awesomeness

  • umm mario paint

  • wow.....how did u make the gameboy version and the atari 2600 version????

  • it's great

  • omgosh!! what did u use for snes tracker!!

  • Notepad.

  • is that a tracker?

  • Not this video. I used a tracker for my 8-bit NES remixes.

  • I used famitracker but can you make a super nintendo tutorial?

  • Probably not. That thing is REALLY hard to use.

  • awsome job cat33pokemon

    all your vids are great

  • wow!

    i really enjoyed this!

  • AWESOME!!!

  • Oh man... love the SNES and GB ones.

I use modplug, and I've long tried to get retro sounding songs right... Damn, I wish I had the right instruments.

I hope I can find detailed instructions for the SNES making. Does this only work with the Mario World rom?

  • I haven't tested any other ROMs. Speaking of MODplug (one of my favorite programs), I have been working on some NES remixes with FamiTracker.

  • This is Amazing!!!Im not asking this as an actual question to be answered but . . . HOW DO YOU DO THIS! ITS AMAZING!!!

  • will pokemon platnium be for the game boy or isit only for nintendo ds

  • LOL!

    Sorry, but DS only.

  • damn that sux

  • If you want any consolation, I DID make an image of a label for an Atari 2600 cartridge of Pokémon Platinum. (Search deviantART for it.)

  • YOU'RE OBSOLETE!!!

    ...

It had to be said, under the circumstances.

  • Well it is, when was the last time they made a new game for the Gameboy?

  • i know i know i was just makin a lil joke :P

  • oh...

  • The only ones for the original GB were US Red and Blue and JP Red, Green and Blue.

  • I still have my Game Boy ='(

  • But when was the last time you played it?

Its battery must've run dry by now...

  • I last played it a few hours ago. The batteries lasted me for months. But then again my focus is on Mario Kart Wii, Super Mario RPG, and Final Fantasy VII right now.

  • Wait a sec, which gameboy are you talking about?

    The just plain Gameboy

    The Gameboy color

    The Gameboy Advance

    The Gameboy Advance SP?

Or the relatively unknown Gameboy Micro?

  • The first Game Boy ever released, from 1989.

    It's OLD XD

  • Then its battery should've died by now...unless you replaced it.

  • i have an old game boy and its battery is still running?!

  • ??? Mine died a long time ago! ???

    You, sir, are lucky.

  • my game boy color is still alive too! and i dont think i changed the batteries (unless if you mean like AAA or AA or even C)

  • whats it sound like to you

  • Sounds like he did.

  • Oh! I have a GameboyColor! It's sure old-school technology...

  • Yup.

  • The GB remixes were the best ones.

  • brilliant. i'd expect nothing less =3

  • i really like the snes ones you should make more of them they sound great

  • The trainer battle for the Game Boy actually made me stop breathing a bit o.o

I've been retroing out to my Blue version lately, so I know all the sounds the best. The rest are brilliant as well, of course. :p

  • That really sounds like what the SNES would have for Pokemon music.

  • id like to hear them all in gameboy! that would own

  • omg u r awesome!!!

  • Sweet! You are quite impressive, my friend. :)

  • What does the Angry Video Game Nerd have to do with anything? The fact that he reviewed so many bad Atari games?

  • English wasn't your best class was it?

  • route 201 for super nintendo, sounds a little bit like yoshi's island =3

  • Uxie/Azelf/Mesprit Battle sounds more like nes than GB

  • To be honest, the square and triangle are the NES type, but the noise is based on the GB.

  • ok, i c

  • pokemon platinum.... i hope time flies

  • You clearly have a lot of time on your hands O_o...

I love the Uxie/Azelf/Mespirit and Route 201 remixes a lot!!

  • I made a retro remix of RSE Archie/Maxie to fit R/B/Y but unfortunately my Mac crashed and the file is gone now.

  • That sucks...

  • ha ha ha ha macs suck

  • I know they do. I knew they did ever since the first one came out.

  • PLATINUM!?!?

  • Yep! Coming in Autumn for Japan and Spring for America.

  • I thought Platina/Platinum was coming early '09.. -cling- x3

  • It is. On the official Japanese site, it says "2008年秋登場!", which means that it is coming in Autumn 2008. All that is known is that it will likely come in Spring of 2009 for Americans and probably Summer or Autumn 2009 for Europe.

  • i can´t open the link for the full song :(

  • Do not right click and chose Save Target As. Instead, just click it like normal. It's a PHP file, so it should work. If you get an error again, I'll try to get an actual direct file link.

  • yum xD sounds good

  • The Route 201 remix sounds kind of like an Earthbound song.

But my favorite was the Uxie/Azelf/Mesprit Battle GB remix. 5/5

  • nice job dude sweet remix

  • forgot to ask 2 things

    1. how did u make these

    2. can u put download for each song instead of 1 mp3 with all the songs.

it would be much better =]

  • I likely will add an individual download for each.

Atari: Made ENTIRELY with a DOS music sequencer.

SNES: Learning how to use AddMusic, MIDI conversion, correction, fix it up, change instruments, and deal with "Track size too large"

Game Boy: Work on MIDI with only four total tracks (3 for Trainer Battle), one note on each, then apply a SoundFont.

Yeah, the SNES ones are on the system (well, an emulator...)

  • o alright thanks.

also tell me wen u get the other downloads up

  • They were up when you posted this comment.

  • xD lol i just woke up gimme a break

  • I'm not gonna attack you...or maybe I will.

    Typhlosion, use Flamethrower!

LOL! You wouldn't believe how many of my videos have these immitation Pokémon comment battles on them.

  • I will attack your Typhlosion with my Lapras! Lapras, use Hydro Pump!

  • Go, Luxray! Use Thunder! What? It missed?

  • Ha! Lapras, use Sheer Cold! *waits* Darn! It missed!

  • I've always hated those four OHKO moves. They work way too rarely.

  • I know what you mean. However, I got lucky with Sheer Cold in a battle with my friend today and killed his Scizor. I'll shift Lapras out and replace it with Garchomp!

  • Detect + Sheer Cold = Ownage. My Articuno knows both those moves :D

  • Wait, instead of Detect, don't you mean Mind Reader? Detect protects the user, and Mind Reader locks on to the opponent to make sure the next attack hits.

  • yeah thats it. I knew that was wrong. I always get mixed up :P Thanks for correcting me.

  • No problem. It's just that when people do that, I always feel the urge to correct them.

  • I actually had some really bad luck with the move Guillotine. I was fighting against a Kingler in the battle tower. It was faster then the 3 pokemon I had with me. It managed to hit me with Guillotine 3 times without fail.

  • I know how you feel. I've faced some Pinsir like that. Not to mention that whenever I use Sheer Cold, I miss. Of course, Fissure almost always hits for me. That's why I always use Groudon.

  • Awesome remixes.

  • Yay! I can now make a little vid fake using the music that you let us download!

  • AWESOME!

  • allow me to be view # 146!

  • Never knew the Gameboy could use sawtooth waves, or am I mistaken? (see Uxie/Axelf/Mesprit Battle).

  • Ahh, the Game Boy. Well, here's the thing. The real system uses a cheap triangle synth, but I couldn't exactly do, so I had to make due with NES triangle.

  • HAHA THIS WAS MY IDEA!! THANKS!!!

  • Oh and I should add that you shouldn't put Platinum at the end of the titles, you never know if they might be remixing or making new songs!

  • They've only dropped songs a couple times, and it's not likely they'd drop an early route theme or standard battle theme.

But you've got a point there.

  • Makes me feel like playing Pokemon...

  • I love this. I really like the Trainer Battle for the Atari2600. Beautiful work, as always.

  • this is so cool!

  • I love this. So. Much.

    Love.

    LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE

  • Very nice. I really like the Route 201 one, it's got a nice Super Mario RPG kinda feel.
