Si la pieza le hubiera golpeado unos milimetros más abajo, en la visera, hubiera muerto en el acto. Un accidente casi identico al que causó la muerte de Senna. La diferencia entre un susto, accidente leve, grave ó mortal es tan pequeña que apenas se distingue. Afortunadamente Massa se ha recuperado totalmente, Senna, Ratzemberger, Surtees y muchos más pilotos no tuvieron esa suerte. R.I.P. por todos ellos.
