It's the Hunter. It never made into the 'final' release of Tech Demo 'cause member who was working with it left the team.

It didn't make it into the final version of the game (the Tech Demo, not the full installments).

The mutant was never really used in any of the games from the series. This one with a moving animation was probably used just for the trailer.

I LOVE this game - But I'd like to see a normal pistol here..... o_O nothing else to add, just a normal, old pistol with 10-20 bullets for the whole game

Who the fuck cares if the graphics aren't as good as Crysis?! It's the gameplay and atmosphere which makes the Penumbra games FAR better than all the generic, boring, uninnovative shooters like CoD4.

the bat is only in the "demo". I agree that it doesn't look scary.

Penumbra is all about atmosphere. You should try it out if you like adventure horrors.

That is from the tech demo of the game, not the actual commercial game. My best guess is it will be in the sequel, Penumbra: Black Plague, which is slated for Q1 of next year.
