@steven2312: It's really hard to find any of the Youth Congress albums. I actually found mine at a Goodwill a few years back while I was on my lunch break.
@steven2312 Most of our recordings were sold st the time during national even ie UNAC, Youth congress or national conventions. So albums like these would be hard to find today.
I have the gospel soulchildren of neworleans singing this on there first recording im definatly going to have to post it so you can hear them sopranoes hitting them high notes lololol.....
im tryin to collect all these gems,, i go to record exchange stores, and they tell me that most of the time they dont even take them in,, im like,, dang! and also, as our older blk peeps die,, their albums get thrown in the garbage by white boys who know nothin about this history!!
Here I am about to thank Rowoches for posting yet aNOTHER great praise up and you're SURE that white boys are trashing this music. You sure? Its that kind of random "flip" stuff we have to be conscious of. If we're all One. We have to Be it!
Peace to you dreambro
And all praise
another whiteboy that LOVES Black Gospel
Oh! And THANK you Rowoches for posting-wow! And yes--it brings even ME back
Rowoches, you are only one who can find these old songs. You need to awarded the "Ol' Skool Gospel Music Award." WOW this is old! I love it though... Our generation can't appreciate the rich heritage and sincere meaning of the old skool.
Man... they're getting down... I hear their tambourines, and I know they are stomping their feet...that's what happens when the praises get good to you..,
Greater Harvest might as well had been a "sanctified" church...Elder Boddie didn't play wit 'em back then. I love listenin to their broadcast on Sundays
My god I havent herd this song in so long
