Tapping your feet wont make it go up. The moment you move your feet your stability is lost. Even if you think you wont make it keep your feet firmly rooted on the floor.
If you can do 120 here is a great workout set to failure. Grab 80's or rather a striaght bar with i'd say 185 lbs and complete 20 reps with a spot to help.If you can get the 20 have the spot help you to 20. And dont bounce the weight on this set just light tap your chest and hold the lockout position for 2-3 seconds per repitition. Of course come down to your chest with control. Of course drive your feet through the floor and don't arch your back. Cheating during sets like this, you wont gain.
Good job, ignore all the YouTube warriors on here. Everyones a fucking expert.
This is a solid lift, there are people who can do more, sure, and there are a hell of a lot of people on this Earth who couldn't dream of lifting this.
Its more than I can bench and you deserve my respect. Good job.
yes he should of used lighter weight but he wanted to show off for the camera give em a break. and his form isnt all that bad!!! he came down almost parallel to his head. i bet this guy lifts more then half the ppl that commented on this vid.
@sandrogazzola nice job - clean reps. But always use a spotter if its even a little heavy. Video or no video - its not worth getting seriously hurt over ya know. Good job homie.
i did the 100's today for the 1st time. i got 6 reps. I try to plant my feet though. I don't think i could lift it 1 time while kicking my feet like that. Happy Feet :)
Nothing worse than a guy doing dumbbell presses while the spotters hands are on his elbows the whole set... not to mention the dumbbell not even touching the chest, also the foot dance shows you're not tight!
I am pretty sure the hands at the elbow was for mental support. My partner usually keeps his hands at my elbows, it makes you think they are helping you when they are not. And the "foot dance" has nothing to do with the exercise, NOTHING. I move my feet around sometimes, it's just a habit when lifting really heavy weight...it doesn't mean you aren't "tight"
If you were doing the lift properly you wouldn't possiblly be able to move your feet around, you're obviously not driving your upper back into the bench with your hips/legs like you should be... so you arn't tight!

I actually finally lifted with those the other day! Was so proud. Only got them up for 3 reps, but... it was my fifth set, and also incline bench.

Really nice man! i'm only 15 and i'm still at 85's for 8 reps. Really impressive though you made it look like they were 20's:]

1 tip dude control your legs, they seem to be moving around alot and the concentration on the chest is lost a lil.
Get a firm position where your legs are planted and lift with this firm position.

you should do it w/o the help of the spotter until you cant lift it anymore... That way you'll really know how much are you lifting.
