Awesome intro, but what about the fight after the Darlington race? Also, I'm curious as to what happened to "The Bull" that he doesn't show up on the grid (even as a withdrawn entry)?
@texacobigred42 Couldn't really fit the fight in very well, as hard as that is to believe, so I decided to leave the video off at victory lane. As for Brian Keselowski, he was never on any of the entry lists even though he'd planned to run this race earlier. However, looking at the Sprint Showdown entry list, it looks like he'll be running there, which means he'll likely be in the 600.
@Spannerhead29 Its because the races are so long that qualifying poorly is not an automatic death sentence. I've seen people win from the back in CART (Paul Tracy from 20th at Long Beach one year comes to mind -- I THINK it was 2000), but it was VERY hard to pull off.
@Cynon44 Yeah long races usually make qualifying redundant. In the 1993 Bathurst 1000, Larry Penkins went a lap down early in the race and he came back to win.
And in this race Kyle Douche went from 43rd to 4th.
Just two quibbles, McDowell was the fastest GoGH-er, while Riggs' speed was irrlevant as for the non-top-35 cars it's attempts to make the show, then practice times for starting order, and with only one attempt, he was out even if he had been P1 in practice.
@00andJoe Thanks for the heads-up, my mistake. I also noticed during the race that McDowell doesn't have the K-LOVE decals on the #66 and Bliss' U.S. Chrome #32 is flat white, not the red-roofed car from Daytona.
@racing202 It is a bit confusing, but I actually like it compared to the old rule. Long story short, the Top 35 occupy the first 35 spots in the order of their fastest speeds run in ALL practices before qualifying (so it's not the same order as any one practice). The go-or-go-homers fill out the rest of the field in the order of their fastest times, and by the number of attempts they've made this season.

Winner started from 24th and 2nd place from 25th. Is NASCAR the only motorsport where qualifying bad doesn't necessarily mean bad result.
