It's funny how the conservatives are rating all of the Pro Obama comments with a thumbs down...lol, how sad! If you don't like Obama, stay on McCains page.
Libertarians are in favor of honest, clean campaigns. Obama has taken the higher road and Libertarians appreciate that and many will probly vote for him because of that.
Same old tactic from the republicans... the issue of this presidential campaign is crucial for the future of the country. However, it never was about anyone's religious convictions, ethnic background or flag pins. It's about the ideas that are put forward by the candidates and their plan for what's to come. Can't the republicans put something positive on the table instead of trying to stain Obama's reputation for petty reasons? I mean come on, a flag pin? Who cares? I know I don't.
You'd be surprised the number of people I've spoken to who think that Sen. Obama is a Muslim. It seems that the best way to defeat Sen. Obama is to spread the lies while the best way to defeat Sen. McCain is to spread the truth.
You should all visit Latina Magazine's website,a section called Cultura. Some people there are spreading smears & ripping apart anyone who has anything positive to say about Obama. The nicknames of the two people attacking Obama supporters are nudgie_nugie and SecretoDeAmor.I tried to shed some light with the truth but they battered me with insults for defending Obama. The Hispanic vote plays a role in this election, please help me fight back with the truth & put those two out of commission.
If a statement seems far fetched to think that someone could become a Democratic Party nominee for President if it is true, then it's a lie. If it came John McCain or his campaign it's likely a thin veil of truth over a big fat lie.
What I find hilarious is how Republicans criticise Obama for not wearing a flag pin, when was the last time you saw McCain wearing one? The Presidential Debate..... hmmm no!
Obama is a pretty smart guy, he seems always to have a plan to combat the negative criticism by the republicans. Did you know that Obama is going to have a team of lawyers stationed in florida for the vote incase it comes to a tie like it did the last 2 elections?
It's such a hopeful change; going from the 'JohnMcCaindotcom' youtube channel to the 'BarackObamadotcom' channel... McCain's channel is devoted to thirty second campain ads that take quotes out of context and do nothing except smear his opponent - it seems he has nothing positive to say about himself.
But switching to Obama's channel you find lengthy videos that have in depth discussion; there is very little, if any, smearing of the opponent.
Obama delivered an excellent, cool minded debate. He was clear on his answers and provided solutions to the issues at hand. He answered all the questions with respect; and even walked over to meet with Cindy and John after the debate.
McCain resorted to the same old mud slinging and same rhetoric that has destroyed America for the past 8 years.
I second that. Obama understands technology and the interconnectedness of the modern world. McCain is (or at least was, before this campaign) a good man, but his mindset and his ideas are Cold War/20th century.
Yes, this is good. I've seen some smears. The tone and far fetched assumptions that often colour those things make it clear to me that it is false, but I guess people who have some strongly and deeply rooted ideas and beliefs are easier manipulated by these lies. It is good to react and tell the truth.
On the other hand it is also very important to keep the positive messages clearly out there as that is the real dynamics of change.
Well... it's important to not ignore the smears. Rebuttals R necessary.
Obama was very smart to learn from the Kerry campaign. The sad truth is, most Americans are not very well informed and not intelligent enough to decipher many of these inventions so until Obama becomes president & more of our tax dollars go to educating our people, we have to undo smear damage... We will not see the effects of educating our people until probably another 20 years but it's worth it.
Overhere the education is quite good and everyone who wants, can easily get to college and everyone gets a high school diploma at 18 (99%). So perhaps people are better informed overhere, which doesn't always mean being intelligent - that is something different and comes more from the whole individual, not only (left)brain capacity, from my point of view-. But indeed a lot of those smears would not work here.
DeniseHealthnut states that the effects of an improved education may take two decades: not true. The effect a good education has on a student doesn't stay hidden until that education is over. It becomes apparent immediately: the student becomes more engaged in class, gets a bigger awareness of events, and can even influence the minds of parents and peers. Don't underestimate the power of a determined, educated youth.
Indeed the smears have been so bad this time around, that pretty much all news media has exposed a good portion as out and out lies - even Fox has questioned the McCain camp at times, which REALLY says something! And it has helped Obama in the polls - no question. I think it's great that many Americans have finally turned their BS detectors on, and the indicator at the McCain end of the gauge is gagging! No matter how they try to spin their attempt at deception, they're digging themselves DEEP.
PLEASE VOTE FOR John McCain!!! he is our only hope for the future...if america doesnt vote for John McCain then america seriously has issues!! McCain ALL THE WAY>>>McCain 08♥♥♥
I doubt this will help much, nobody will be swayed toward voting for or against him by this. Those who go to a site like that probably do so just for personal curiosity rather than to try to figure out who to vote for. Also, the music for this video is SO local network news... "Investigator Action News Reporter - What you don't know could KILL you! Learn what it is at 11!"
"What you won't hear from this campaign or this party is the kind of politics that uses religion as a wedge, and patriotism as a bludgeon -- that sees our opponents not as competitors to challenge, but enemies to demonize." Barack Obama, June 3, 2008
Finally an Obama campaign-supported means to fight the lies that are being propagated in an attempt to stain his good name and cease change in America!
The Bush Administration has shown itself to be completely untrustworthy. The McCain campaign has been even MORE untrustworthy--something we wouldn't even have thought possible.
Enough! Enough. Enough.
All I want is the truth. Just gimme some truth. For Pete's sake.
I will never be more proud than the moment I am able to pull the lever for
I hope Obama will not let McCain slide on running and hiding like a little girl from the upcoming contentious debate. It's apparent McCain is too old and too dumb to understand economic issues and he knows he will easily be crushed by Obama.
