Can't you make a suggestion instead of just saying this is wrong ? I saw a book that suggested the strum for the verse and chorus as DDDDU (which I think make sense because I think the song is in 4/4 time). What would you suggest bearing in mind this is aimed at beginners?

I think that the strumming is something that you can guess by yourself, when you're listening to the song.

the strumming I use for this song is actually different from the one that you use.

in my opinion, you just have to find one that suites you're ear.

I agree, but it takes time to be able to hear the strums in the song, and then translate them into your own playing. I remember when I was first learning, I would get upset that people wouldn't explain the strum pattern in taps, and I vowed that when I was good enough I was going to detail strum patterns in every song I could.. but after I did get good enough to do that, I realized why everyone would simply say "listen to the song"

And I also support the people who upload videos that help learning how to play the guitar, especially when they teach oasis songs :D !

Even today I like to to download the music tab of the song I'm learning, listen the strumming, play it in the guitar and then give it a personal touch.

This is soooo true. I am learning and have more frustration with strumming than anything else. I just want to be able to play a song the whole way through that actually sounds like the real thing! This is great!
