"The Wild Hare" is Bug's first and original voice. This voice is no where near and never should've been done. But then again I find it funny so job well done anyways haha.
@Mrdevilsboy911 I believe that was Bug's original voice. His very first appearance in 1938 he didn't even talk or was called Bugs Bunny. He was called Happy Rabbit. And his look in the original 1938 (Prest-O-Change-O) cartoon was nothing like his later development. Notice even in this cartoon, not was his voice different, his look as well.
Originally released in January 1941. Jones was still "experimenting" with the rabbit's personality- yet it took Tex Avery {again} to "nail" it with "Tortoise Beats Hare", released three months later....
Bugs in the tub. He plays with the water, shakes the water off his finger, then puts his whole hand back in the water to get up. No detail of humor was too small!!
everyone knows bugs as he is now but no one knew about "Prototype Bugs", i just saw this yesterday on cartoon network and now everything i once knew is A LIE!
This was the 1st Bugs Bunny cartoon while "A Wild Hare." Some people have complain about Bugs' character here. Seeing that this is the 1st release of 1941, this cartoon was probably in mid-production when Tex Avery's cartoon can out more than 5 months earlier. Chuck Jones next cartoon with Bugs was "Hold the Lion, Please", which shows the Avery influence.
Not bad... I prefer the newer bugs bunny's voice though... Still a great cartoon. Now you can see where Elmer gained his hatred of rabbits.... Especially bugs.... LOL
@The1234567893310 mickey mouse is actually older than bugs bunny. i believe walt disney voiced him during the golden age era, and obviously he's been dead for years.
