owned by some rent a car place , driver door would not shut properly, head was warped, infact there was so much wrong i could go on for hours

i sold the car in parts so made some money

@cagonesss nothing wrong with buying on ebay plus a lot of dealers now sell online the thing is if you go to look at any car and you dont like it dont buy it. simple as . what can they really do come on. leave you bad feedback lol. i being round to pick up cars off ebay and didnt like it so i didnt buy, and thats not just ebay thats local papers autotrader and a few other places

It might be best if you take someone with more experience when you buy another car. Things you might miss, he or she will probably spot. It's easy to forget to check specific items when the excitement takes over. I would agree about ebay, it's known as theifbay for a good reason. I also love the old Rovers, the 220D was excellent and the 1.8vvc was very quick. I once had a 216vitesse and 3500 one which was amazing for comfort - I miss Rover cars, they were ahead of their time...

A rover 416 with over 160k miles on the clock for £123, what did you seriously expect. you Walked directly into that one. Damage to the rear was clear to see, as is damaged panel work around the car. With that mileage a K series would definately have been apart before, at least once, HGF clearly noted, tyres are easy to check and if you reckon its been claimed for on insurance an HPi check would tell you. No sympathy, I buy and sell many old cars on eBay, its easy if you know what to look for.

After winning the bid, when going to get the car and the car wasn't as advertised I would have asked for the price to be dropped or walked away. If u saw a car for spares or repair on autotrader or something like that, you go and look at it and it's not as it was it was in the advert, u wouldn't pay the asking price, you would barter. Ebay is no different

@alzebub666 Yes, I had a 618 - brilliant car, but slow. I actually prefer Rover's 2 litre engine, it's more economical and more powerful, but many fear head-gasket problems, but they are free from such glitches.

My last car which has appeared in a few of my vids I bought for £366, cleaned it up, drove it around for 8 months and then sold it with a more accurate add and got £490 - didn't need to spend a penny on it. It can be quite easy to make a bit of cash.
