Posted 3/21/11. In Ky. there's dead grass in every yard on the street where I live. The dead grass are in areas from 1 foot to 10 foot around. Two weeks ago sowed fescue 31 grass seed. Holly trees have black spots on leaves also. First time seen grass die like that, and black spots on holly trees.

It will be years before this is acknowledged as Corexit and other chemicals lowering the immune systems of trees throughout the entire geographical area that gets it's moisture from the Gulf.

Interesting and troubling videos..are you saving rainwater samples? I live in Mississippi and am noticing tree leaf and plant leaf abnormalities..I have saved rainwater from recent rains..I have no idea where to send the samples, but it might help with identifying and proving the cause..I am concerned of animals drinking this..I am concerned for all of US drinking this..thanks for posting and sharing!

@elfiascoyahoocom Keep up the good work, I would ban the trolls too. I live close to San Antonio (30 miles S.E.) and I am seeing the same effects,depending on the individual plant's resistance. The brown burn/spotting is one symptomatic evidence as well as the white spotting, though not as pronounced as other vegetation I have seen in other vids. I am not exaggerating in the least when I say they are waging chemical warfare on our people.

It looks like the dried out leaves on the trees are on the tips of the branches furthest from the trunk, as if they are water deficient and the leaves that take the most energy to get water to are dying.

I don't think it's obvious this is acid rain. A possibility but there may be other causes.

Look it up and get educated on benzene- where in the Gulf- the levels are 200-400 times normal (according to the EPA) who has monitored the levels. Do you think Corexit is good for us or the environment?

@EasyChaCha: It appears you are not familiar with the chemicals or their effects. This is exactly what you would see with Benzene. In higher concentrations in the air, soil or in water, benzene can inhibit photosynthesis or block normal plant cell division and therefore stunt growth. Excessive exposure to the gaseous form can suffocate plants as the gas displaces the needed carbon dioxide that plants use to metabolize.

Search: ' Gulf Oil Disaster: Proof of Oil Rain in New Orleans' on youtube- at 2 minutes in there is a video from Plano- just North of Dallas. I'm sure more videos will pop up from Dallas just as they are popping up everywhere. People just haven't connected the dots yet.

You should ask your local county extension- google Galveston County Extension- they are your local University Lab Representative- looking out for the public. Ask them to check rainwater and Benzyne levels in the air- they can fluctuate daily so it would have to be a daily test over at least a week or so...tell them you would just think it would be a great thing to do for public concern.

Take the initiative and install water filtration systems (minimum 3 stage- get the 4 stage if you can) and take care of yourself and your family. Our leaf bearing trees are starting to drop their leaves that has this same damage. holes,white spots,black dead areas. you should pick up some of those leafs and check it out under magnification I used my scanner at 600 x 600.The stem appears to be damaged by 1 to 3 pinhead sized Globs that streaked down them.they can be found by following the streaks to the Globs.The fresh fall work best on the scanner.

Let me tell you something- I have been planting lemon, lime and blueberry trees in my yard starting 3 weeks ago. I water my trees nightly. All these trees were green a week or so ago. After the rain they should have been vibrant. I'm an artist and the color of trees is more important to me than their names. I'm very good with my palette. You have no idea as to what or who you are talking about. everything is dandy in Germany? Great. I'll tell YOU how Fort Worth is doing pal.
