  • whoever doesnt like this has no heart!!

  • God bless the Animals. They are better than many persons. We can learning many things from the Animals. They can be very importants in the education of the children. With the help of Animals, the Humanity can be better someday. We must to get more respect and BETTER LAWS to Animal's protection.

  • I'm not sure if koko can actually talk. is there anyone else who can personally talk to koko WITHOUT dr patterson around?

  • nature does not exist because every thing is "natural" if a man is an animal and it builds a dam and then a bever builds a dam both are natural but people only say that that what the beaver does is natural us a s a species should not be so hard on ourselves whatever we do is natural because nothing is natural ature is nothing like darkness or coldness

  • Such a beautiful creature . :) .

  • i am 98.6% Gorilla

  • I love koko, and i love her story. But this narator is unbearable!!!

  • when koko dies im gonna cry

  • This program was truly heart warming and has given me the motivation I require to make the full transition to the vegetarian diet, I can't contribute to the suffering of sentient beings any longer. They deserve the opportunity to be free to evolve as a species just like us. But I'm not against the consumption of meat and hunting all together, eating meat can be vital however the cruelty that's associated with killing animals must be abolished there's no excuse for that, we can at least promote

  • @Ichliebemusikundybd Eating meat is not vital. It is the thought that it is vital that makes it so. If you were brought up only eating a healthy guilt free vegan diet you would have your heart already wide open so the thought of killing would be so far removed from your conscience. It is the people who believe that eating meat is vital for you that can't imagine life without it. We don't need it for any nutrition. It is poison to our system.

  • @SupremeMasterTV I do love your program it is truely wonderful. However many different types of animels eat meat and the human body was designed for the consumption of meat So just because someone was to enjoy something from another living thing does not make them killers without an open heart In fact for you to make those statements it is you who doesn't have an open heart Would you judge a fox for eating a rabit? It is all the cycle of life not "poison" like you put it, so please don't judge.

  • @kasdization It's not judging....we have the ability to choose our food. It is of higher consciousness to choose a diet that eliminates killing and torture of innocent beings. We need to lift ourselves up to understand the animals pain. It is ignorance that causes us to be blind to it. But once we face up to it we simply cannot go on with it any more. Torture of innocent animals is not merciful and is not open hearted. If your heart is that open you are not able to harm another being.

  • @Ichliebemusikundybd Nature has a way of taking care of itself. We do not need to hunt in order to keep the 'numbers down'. It's humans that have created the need to 'hunt' by introducing species into areas that they were never meant to be. Nature is perfect, we just need to stop thinking we know better by interfering.

  • @SupremeMasterTV I'm firmly of the opinion that eating meat is fine. After all, animals have been hunting and killing other animals for meat since time began. However, I am against the way meat is produced these days. 100 years ago people would generally raise their own chickens and hogs. The animals were still raised and killed for meat, the difference being that they at least got to spend time eating good food and lounging in the sun. Life is not a 'product' to be mass produced, I say.

  • @cujo55544 You've said it: 'Life' is not a product to be mass produced. Those animals have feelings. Their hearts beat, they feel fear, they miss their young. We evolve to become wiser..not less wise. We evolve to become compassionate, not more violent. We all want world peace, we all want the killing to stop. So, we must start with ourselves first and stop the killing that is taking place every day for your meal.

  • @SupremeMasterTV I used to work on a commercial chicken farm, battery cages and all, and it really did disgust me. The animals were just a product to be moved quickly. When it was time for the 'old' chickens to be sent off, some would always escape. But they were so messed up by being kept in cages, they acted afraid of the sun and ignored all the natural food around them because it wasn't in a trough.

I raise my own chickens now. They roam my yard and lay better tasting eggs due to their diet.

  • @cujo55544 Wow! So you know first hand that these animals have feelings. We don't like to be hunted...so we shouldn't hunt. If we imagine that animal as us...we would treat them very differently.

  • cute

  • Koko for president!

  • This video shows humans the capacity for sentience among other species. Perhaps we should stop breeding them so their hides are thicker, and help evolve them to intelligence, sapient, races.

How cool would it be, having sapient animals in our society?

  • Washoe is dead. Alex is dead. Koko lives. As long as she is out there, enjoying life with her friends, I will not cry hearing her story!

  • sometimes i feel like koko is a human stuck in a gorillas body. so humanlike!!

  • en su habita de seguro no necesitara de nada....y justo es que viva su derecho de libertad plena....

    master of masters

    perfect light and

    king of kings

    Sr Jesus Super Star

    master of masters

    perfect light and

    king of kings

    Sr Jesus super star

  • i cried a little sorry! haha

  • Espetacular!

  • Supreme Master Television is AWESOME! Best show ever!!!

  • this video is soooooooooooooooo touching i almost cryed

  • r ukidding i did cry...so very touching

  • @brenboy13 I did cry when I saw her with her kitten all ball

  • was very very cool, do u want me to teach u sign language? :)

  • I was so moved by this movie, that I have to revalue my whole existens. *Sob*

  • If only the whole world felt this way....

  • Not everyone will be able to have Koko by their side when they go looking for gorillas to talk to -_- and besides, why not just teach these other gorillas to talk, why does it have to be just koko?

  • Dr. penny taught a male gorilla, micheal, sign language and he was soppose to be koko's mate because scientists wanted to see if micheal and koko would teach their offspring Gorilla Sign Language...but they were more like siblings more then lovers

  • @unavailblename MIchael Died in the year 2000 :'(

  • all i can say is >>> wooooooooooooooooow

  • que bonito

    koko

  • I read that the next step in her training is to try and teach her english words. If this could be possible, then we could live in much harmony with other animals. Imagine you go to a jungle and see a gorilla and koko is with you. You say to koko "tell that gorilla we want to be it's friend and koko is all like "sure."

  • The karma of killing plants for consumption is not like that of taking the life of a living breathing animal. Their consciousness is not the same. The karma is far heavier if you eat animals whereas the karma from eating plants can easily be washed away through meditation.

  • Do the animals that eat other animals accumulate bad karma for doing so?

  • Yes they do.

  • So what effect does this karma have on the animal?

  • That is hard to say because it goes into their storehouse of karma. Because they are bound to the cycle of birth and death they will always keep storing this type of karma so will keep having to come back to deal with it. Eat and be eaten.

  • And what evidence do you have this "karma" exists, and if you believe in reincarnation, what use is it being reincarnated if you don't remember what you did in your previous life? Did the African children do something bad in the past life to deserve what they are going through now?

  • Karma is a Sanskrit word for cause and effect. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. This is something that is logical. So you can see that Karma is at work in everyone's life including yours. One doesn't need to remember one's past life as we have lived it already. But we will keep coming back until we decide that we don't want to play this game anymore. At that time we will start to ask all the questions regarding life. Why are we here? What is the purpose of life?

  • Our spiritual journey has then begun. To find the truth in everything. It is very difficult to judge without wisdom because when we judge a situation with our minds, we falter. We do not know the past karmic retribution that has caused these events that have arisen now. We cannot see the intricate web of that person's soul. That is why spiritual practise is so important. But at the same time we need to help those that are suffering even though we know that their karma brought them to that point.

  • We have come back again and again to love. To learn to love. Love is a Heavenly quality that can calm all fears, end all wars and create peace on earth.

  • Gnostic Belief is very similar, however without the idea of unintentional sin or bad karma... The universe is flawed because we must destroy and kill to live, even plants have souls and thoughts, and we are all connected because we come from the same thing, we are all a part of one divine aspect. So as we consume, we kill to yet live another day. There really is no way around it, we must search within ourselves, and awaken the divine, that perfect grace, so we may return home.

  • I wouldn't say the universe is flawed because everything is as it should be at our level of spiritual growth. There is definitely a difference in the kind of killing though because if you practice spiritually the killing of a plant for sustenance is easily erased whereas the killing of an animal with a higher consciousness is not easily erased. So you are right. The only way out is to awaken the divine and to find a Living Master who is able to do that and offer safe passage to our eternal home.

  • 36 being old my ass.. they can live like 70 years... it is awsome shit. i want one

  • does any1 kno if koko is still alive?

  • Yep, according to wikipedia she turned 38 on july 4th.

  • she is still alive! but she is very old!!

36 I think!! (very old for a gorilla)

this brings tears to my eyes!! she is just like a human!!

  • ALL HAIL SUPREME MASTER CHING HAI!!!!

  • In fact just by keeping a vegan diet most of the chemicals would be eliminated anyway. Vegans tend to choose natural products over chemicals. So yes, the vegan diet solves many issues in one go.

  • such an amazing loving creature.

  • Completely amazing!

  • My hammy bits her cage whens she wants a piece of bread. my hammy licks my fingers after I play with her. And she bites me softly when she wants to return home. So, did you realize? Animals are not dumb. We are. Cause we aren't animals. we are monsters. Groooar!

  • what does he say at 6:58?

  • "For example nobody taught Koko the word for ring."

  • Oh...is Michael dead now? It said 1973-2000...thats sad :(

  • this is making me tear up for some reason

  • Man I want to hug a gorilla so badly. lol.

  • IS THIS NOT ENOUGH PROOF ALONE TO SAY KILLING A GORILLA IS LIKE KILLING A HUMAN BEING??UN-DEBUNKABLE How could we intelligent humans be so damn naive. They deserve Full human rights and should be able to live side by side amongst us. Destroying their natural habitat should be a serious criminal offense. If only we could teach them all and give them a chance to evolve just as we were..(Science will prove the specifics of this soon)

  • Unfortunately, even being a human being doesn't stop us from killing each other.

    We're just terrible creatures.

  • @Treemeadow who is this "we"?

    speak for yourself.

  • @Treemeadow Society has a very slow learning curve :/

  • That's really not how evolution works. :\

  • ha thts cute

    me myself good

  • How could this have escaped so many peoples attention?

  • that is to cute w/ her and the kitty

  • gorillas share 98% of our DNA

  • Except that other 2% gives them super strength. I still have yet to bench press 4,000 pounds.

  • awesome.

  • we are apes to in a diffrent way

  • I like Apple chase art ^^

  • that is amazing that Koko recognized a ring and made up a sign using "finger" and "bracelet"... that just amazes me. it makes me want to work with gorillas XD

  • in billions of years i bet gorriles well be smart enove to be apart of are communitie and speak english

  • i cant get over how human they are

  • The problem is, that people don't hate gorillas. Some of us are so greedy, and

emotionless that we are simply ready to sacrifise these unique animals for..... ashtrays?

Yes, businessman around the world (especialy US) pay a lot to have ashtray made of gorillas hand. Sad truth about capitalistic

world, many of us simply don't care about life. What is life when you control masses of lives.

  • The really ironic bit is that individually just about everyone cares about the conservation of species, and collectively even you and I technically contribute.

  • Yes, but being a vegetarian is the quickest way to help stop global pollution and save the environment.

  • can the Gorilla learn simple mathamatics like say 1 plus 1 equels two etc.? or perhaps do puzle games say.. 4 pieces then smaller and smaller with increasing number of pieces? also what is the longevity of gorillas and chimps in the wild? i hear about a new species of chimp the big chimpanze is that bogus?

  • Oh yes, they are extremely intelligent.

  • there are many studies that have already shown that gorillas, chimpanzees, and orangutans ALL have very good math skills. they can count and add and subtract fluently.

  • parrots can add

  • It is not the environment that needs saving, it is ourselves.

  • We already know how to save ourselves. If we switch to a vegan diet we can halt global warming immediately. Without a safe environment we will not be able to live here anyway. So we need to take care of our environment also.

  • Vegan diet = magically stopping a natural oscillation in global climate?

Why not claim that switching from briefs to boxer shorts will solve the energy crisis?

Or that switching your internet provider to Comcast will protect earth from asteroid impacts.

I'd say that chemical pollutants should be the main focus, their elimination will have ACTUAL results.

  • Surprisingly yes...the vegan diet alone can stop the devastation that is about to befall us. The reason being is because there is more livestock on our earth right now than humans. They produce 300 litres of methane every day. Methane is 27 times more potent in trapping heat than CO2.

  • So we just need to eat them faster? Ok.

  • No, the global warming crisis is not just the methane that they emit. It is a moral issue too. We have to stop killing innocent animals to satiate our bellies. We have to move to more noble way of living.

  • Humans are omnivores. Have you ever seen a vegan baby? They're development can suffer drastically because of the lack of protein and other vital nutrients that come from meat. Cows have enzymes in their stomachs to break down plant cell walls and get energy from plant cells; we don't. Neither do many other carnivores. And if too much lifestock are killing this planet, then what do you suggest we do? Not eating them perpetuates the issue. Should we just slaughter some of them?

  • I have seen many vegan babies and they have grown into wonderfully strong, healthy and beautiful adults. Meat is not the only source of the nutrients that humans need. They can be found in abundance from plants. Slaughtering them is what is causing the problem in the first place. If we stop eating them, they won't be raised anymore for consumption so naturally the numbers will drop.

  • So plant life is less innocent? Is it any less a life than an animal? How do you draw the line between right and wrong when we necessarily must kill in order to eat? It seems as though you somehow have been able to distinguish plant murder as acceptable. By your reasoning, I have no clue how that follows

  • Plants are made up of 90% water and their consciousness is much less than that of animals. So the killing karma is much less. In fact we kill a lot of invisible beings when we breathe..we kill the ants on the ground when we walk, so we kill unavoidably.

  • The only way to cleanse the karma from taking the life of a plant or even unavoidable karma is through meditation on the Quan Yin method. If you are able to talk to plants you will see that they want to be eaten. If you pick an apple from a tree the tree will produce more, but if you cut the leg off the animal it won't grow back and it suffers greatly. So the karma is very heavy.

  • Nitrous oxide is also emitted into the air which is 300 times more potent than CO2. But it is not just the livestock. It is the whole process that is carbon intensive. The deforestation, transportation, their waste which also emits CO2 and the refrigeration. So although eliminating chemicals also helps it isn't as effective as a vegan diet.

  • i love animals

  • amazing! i wish I had a Koko....

  • Such a heart-warming video!

  • Gorillas are decent people.

  • Three different species; don't forget "all ball" her petcat with no tail.

  • she has gorgeous feelings!

  • KOKO is cute wen hes little!!!!

  • she

  • AW shes so cute. its amazing how intelligent she is. it almost made me cry how she can play and she has the same emotions as humans do.

  • It's so sad how there's so very few gorillas left in this world. Why do people hate them so much?

  • Aww, that's so cute! She seems nice ^^

  • u guys should read hurt go happy

its about a deaf girl who meets a asl chimpanzee giving her so much more hopes

    its such a wonderful novel

it made me tear up several times

  • I just finished that book. It really is a moving novel. I cried throughout, especially when they visit the lab where they test on the chimps. I had thought those kind of things were illegal! Apparently not, and our own GOVERNMENT is sponsoring such things? It makes me sick.

  • Koko is an amazing and intelligent creature.. she's soft and gentle 2.. this video is beautiful

  • OMG SHE IS SO DARLING!!

  • They should go around to Zoos and have Koko teach many other gorillas sign language

  • lol. I wish that. I can speak sign language, so that'd be cool if i could talk to them.

  • so big and so gentle, amazing.

  • omg how innocent...oh thats my dream job :)

  • Awesome. I love Koko! I miss I could meet her! Does she still have a kitten?

  • I believed she died. and koko was really sad.

  • but she has new kittens

  • This was so beautiful, What I would'nt give to get a hug and give a hug to koko.

  • when i was like 7 i read about koko in a scholar's book i was like Wow! incredible! now with the power of the internet i can see more and more koko's stories:D thanks!!

  • Thank you very much Supreme.

  • es muy linda

  • Wow "Finger Bracelet" She invented a word...... That is so amazing..... What more proof?....I don't need any more....Damn

  • if gorrilas get any much smarter than this they will have to be given voting rights and stuff and mabye even one day we could have a gorrila president lol thatd be cool

  • This proves that an animal can be as intelligent as us, most people consider most animals as "dumb" all because they cannot communicate with humans well, if every animal in the world communicated the same, even humans, would we still consider them stupid?

  • Amazing how a creature thought to be a large vicious beast can be just like us. I hope Koko can teach other gorillas sign language.

  • koko is very smart and i hope we can stop poaching and maybe teach a few other gorillas sign language

  • koko roxXXxx

  • Thank you for putting this video on. It was very nice, and heat warming too, WAHHHhhhhh!!

  • 37 years old :)

  • Actually, Koko would be 36 - she's the same age as me, born in 1971.

Ive read a few national geographic articles on Koko. It is interesting and amusing when she has conversations with people using sign language and even "telling" lies on occasion to get herself out of trouble!

  • Can believe people murder these animals? So sad...

  • Koko herself has proven that humans indeed are very much alike gorillas.

  • Koko's still alive, I think she's in her thirties.

  • yes she is, she is hoping for a baby, but she is getting too old. I remember her and her kitten so sad

  • I remember reading about how Koko cried for a few days after she found out that her cat died, such an amazing being. Wish I could have met Koko.
