Yes they did. Glider infantry did. During D-Day some glider infantry hit the beaches since we didn't have too many gliders. Remeber, glider infantry are not paratroopers. But yes we did use musset bags if your coming by air. But later in 44 we started to get rid of the haversack because we cannot fit too much stuff in it so most of the infantry started to use that in the late 44 to 45.
i forgot to review the movie, it was really good im sure with more episodes you will get more of story to it. my hardest thing is getting good props and uniforms i also dont have a program that has gun flashes. even though letters from iwo jima music was played, really who cares its good music and its hard enough to direct a low budget movie and even harder coming up with music for it, its ashame it wasnt a little longer. if you used a green screen you could show the gliders landing too
is there anyway you guys can tell me where you got those sweet props and uniforms. the guns looked realistic, they were probably the real thing, id really appreciate it
yes it was. during d-day, some glider men came from the landing craft and the air. the two men were on a patrol and ran into one of their men who is in their unit but went on landing craft.
well you had me with the letters of iwo jima music. That was outstanding. Check out my movies when you have time.
Only two things i had a comment on:
The 101st airborne didnt wear gaiters and have haversacks, unless that was a 101st glider trooper.
And your germans, they looked like americans. i was sort of confused. i know a place where they sell east german uniforms that look identical to ww2 ones.
The only camo we had was the modern stuff. And we used that in the Terror War video.
I was the Lieutenant. And I was wearing 43's, with rigger pouches which is technically incorrect, because they were not issued until August or September of 44.
I'm glad you mentioned that about the gliderman. That is our reenacting unit. You can see us in Rockford, Illinois this weekend for there show.
