  • That is one "obscene" video. =p

  • Did you have to replace the pannels cause I have a 78' poniac firebird and I need all 4 fender panels

  • 77 trans am. my favorite car ever. as long as it has a 4 speed manual.

  • super pas mal

  • Dear Santa..

  • Benn watching Stacy David for years. Great job tearing it up man!!!! I bet it was fun

  • Coolest TA ever, hands down!

  • real cars ...

  • I can't wait to get this hopefully as my first car!

  • @GROINHOLD101 good luck - lol

  • @uprightchoppers haha thankyou!

  • I like my '77 a little better. 455 big block bore 030 TH 400 trans with a big stall conv. 3.73 posi rear, Sub frame connectors. She don't handle so well in the corners but I bet I'd beat that bandit down the 1/4.

  • @CharlieChaosSince97 i was just thinking that it would be more fun to build your own and i bet that would be a good race...but what raises a question mark for me is the lack of videos of your car but the bigger oversight to me would be the "big block" most pontiac guys know theres no such thing as big block and small block for the "B.O.P" motors. so borrow a camera and get us a cool ta vid

  • @philtripe . My '77 is build . It has a 455 ci v8 from a wrecked GTO. I haven't got any video of it as of yet because I don't have a good camera . hopefully I'll get something posted before winter.

  • Sharpie covers even the worst damages

  • @Travassification Oh and I think my dad would literally cry if I pulled up in front of his house with one. He didn't want to get rid of it, but we didn't have a garage where we lived at the time and the thing was starting to rot. It was the right thing to do for the car...

  • I love this frigin car.

  • i dont want paradise give that car to me

  • manual gearbox, american muscle, great looks....what more can anyone possibly ask for???

  • is this video posted by year one?? id like to talk to someone who has one of these or someone that restores them. :)

  • Might get when turn 16

  • this car gives me wood.

  • a guy named stacy?!! blahahah!

  • This pupy starts at 130,000 I would just get Eleanor cause it's the same price

  • Ill trade mine for this one.... but because thats unlikely ill have to build mine into something liek this. how much do i have to cut off my coil springs to lower it a couple inches lol!

  • Had to download "Smokey and The Bandit" after seeing this. Coolest car ever made!

  • So cool!

  • these older cars are beasts and greatly made. not like these sissy cars of today

  • you really don't have to put a LS engine in the car. if you have a 455, rebuild it, if you have the 400, rebuild that.those engines can put out 400 or 500 horses too, unless they have a cracked block etc.i saw this when it was broadcast on tv. i love the Trans Am.an old friend had a 76.it was nice.

  • ls motor, I get tired of seeing ls motors in everything. Why build a trans-am if you are going to put a chevy motor in it. just build a camaro and save yourself some money.

  • @86cookiemonster basically the same car

  • ls motor, I get tired of seeing ls motors in everything. Why build a trans-am if you are going to put a chevy motor in it.

  • thats nutts love it! shame i live in england running a car like that would cost a bomb here USA always gets the best stuff, coolest car i've seen in along time

  • I have mentioned to friends tons of times if I ran into a ton of money I would get a 2nd gen TA and get her up to speed with modern cars. I never knew anyone actually already did it. I think I would go about a few things diffrently like making more effort in making the wheels look original, not modifying the bird, 4 wheel independent suspension, All carbon fiber body/tub under the paint (keep it looking original), real seat belts (I wouldnt be driving it on the track), etc...

  • how much?

  • i feel like i'm 10 again

  • I'd want this car over any other. No Ferrari or lamborghini for me. Just a 77 trans am.

  • WOW! I'm in love!

    The loves of my life

    1. The Lord, My King, Yeshua The Christ

    2. This car!

    3. My wife!

*DISCLAIMER* I'm not married yet, but I don't this list will change when I do get hitched! WOOOORD!!!

  • My favorite car of all time, I'd give anything just to see one in person, let alone own one. Even if it's a stock 79 trans am. Kinda sucks to be honest because i don't see it happening any time soon, if ever.

  • This car cures any kind of erictile dysfunction!!

  • im crying thats, trans am perfection!!

  • sweet car

  • The original looks better

  • Television might be a cut throat business, but dammit if Stacey David doesn't have the coolest job of them all; building cool cars and thrashing on other cool cars.

And I'd love to own a Burt Reynolds edition T/A if they weren't so expensive.

  • would sell what i have left of soul for one of these cars

  • hard on alert

  • i just sold my w-z code bonified t/a ...today....im sad!!

  • its said that the wheels will make or break a cars looks ,and those wheels certainly make that car , awesome indeed !!

  • omg i want this car soo bad D':

  • I'm 19 and there's nothing I want more than this car

  • rip pontiac, thanks for the 89 turbo! miss ya

  • Queer?

  • I would love to have this car :)

  • There are serious Pontiac engines available, like at Butler Performance. It would have been more popular if they were brand loyal.

  • its not even a 6.6 its a 7.0 prolly all computer controlled thing fuck that man i hate computers

  • lucky bastard

  • Thats odd thye never mentioned a quarter mile time. Is it a 455 Pontiac engine? Or is it a blasphemous chevy?

  • @mercmarc Its a 427 Chevy engine. The LS-7 (7.0 Litre) is the same engine they put in Corvettes. I can only imagine what would happen if you slapped a blower on that thing, or a turbo. They never said the price of the car, but im guessing 50k US dollars, not including the cost of the original you would have to give them. Worth every penny!

  • @Sodiumreactor If they turbo or supercharged it , it would then have too much power and torque for the tremec transmission. Its probably more power than most people would ever use anyway.

  • @Sodiumreactor 129000 dollars. Are u nuts 50k everyone would buy one.

  • @camirocz so whats wrong with everyone buying one? Isnt that the point of the automotive industry? To sell cars?

  • that a bad ass car

  • Comment removed

  • To do this video you spent lot of fuel and lot of tyres... not everyone is so rich to do this :)

  • Man, it looks so big in comparison to him. Those old muscle cars were pretty damn big. But I prefer the looks of these cars so much more than the crap thats out today.

  • I want this sexy car , I will sell my soul for it

  • WOW!!! i want one

  • The 76 TA is a much better looking car, they should have used a 76 for the movie!

  • sweet overpriced car... I would have at least liked to have seen some acceleration times... I have done doughnuts in a 1975 400 TA with a 2.76 rear and 185hp. lol Cool concept but only for the rich.

  • @ztwntyn8: Your car probably made more like 220+, but yeah, that's not bad.

But hey, if you stick a 2.76 in a 4 speed SD455 T/A..................let's just say you'll have one hell of a fun time. ;-).

  • 1978 in da house!!

  • ...and it is brutally fast, every thing a girl needs!!!(its like sex driving thid thang!)

  • yeah...i own one!!

  • ILL TAKE A HONDA ANY DAY

  • Honda's are for mowing the lawn that's about it.

  • nice but would rather have an origanal, in fact i do, its on its way from colorado to scotland as we speak :-)

  • Man, he was really rough on that beautiful car. But I'd still take the original 77 T A over the new upgraded one.

  • Ah Stacey, drive it like ya stole it, haha!! Love the Trans-Ams though, my dad has a '78

  • my ol man had a L 82 version of this car it was a 76 though white with red int god it was bad ass ...and it was even better with a coil upgrade and a 750 holley double pumper ...we used to run it around lasvegas in the late 80 and we never got beat ... we even out ran a buddy that worked for the az hiway patrol in the cop 5.0 notchback mustang and those things will cruze at 160 [thats flyn fellas ]we only beat him by 1 or 2 mile an hour more barely beat him the ol 6.6 was past red line

  • Too funny! Great car!

  • how much does this car cost ?

  • i love this car i want one so bad where can i buy one

  • Sure would be nice if Year One gave me one. My wife balled up my '79 TA.

  • this car is a statement. how much?

  • i know he didnt actually color the stonechips with sharpie

  • Does Year One still make the parts needed to build this car? Not necessarily the Burt Reynolds edition but the suspension & other modernizing parts? I loved my old Camaro but always wanted the TA. I figure one of these would be a more unique mid life crisis car than a vette or viper.

  • my dad has one

all it needs is new radiator

    door locks

    winshield

    tires

    and a paint job

    id say about $6,000?

im not a math maniac but yea ahha

my dad is giving it to me when im 16..4 more yeas ahah

  • @AXLE1R your dads a moron

  • I just wet myself. I love this thing so much I'm becoming emotional.

  • does year one still sell this car?

  • classic american mucsle it be a dream to have this car

  • im in love *¬*

  • This is a really great video, because I am a east European redneck and I love these cars.

  • His forced laugh/personality were nearly as irritating as his incessant mention of Sharpies.

  • Is this about the car or him doing burnouts and watching him shift

  • This is honestly still one of the best looking cars ever built in my opinion. I can't wait until I restore one myself.

  • gotta love the sharpie i have a 74' camaro but i would much rather have a trans am they're the shit!

  • i would love one of these!

but a poor old guy like me could never afford it

  • That is what you call dope! Too bad i can't drive a manual tranny but if they had automatic options and i had the bread then consider me an owner!

  • I like Stacy he's not afraid to punch it and put the cars and truck through their paces

  • how much would it cost?

  • this car brings tears to my eyes

  • @supertrooper288 ours too

  • Im not a big fan about the big rims,Other than that its a good looking car lol

  • meh

  • Driving it might change your mind.

  • we got a long way to go and short time to get there

  • If you can't find an original you might start with a standard firebird and convert it.

  • even bater than my 1967 fastback mustang

  • This car is just absolutely sick. I hope to make my 99' hold a candle to it one day.

  • great job and great hugs from Spain!

    Pontiadict!!

  • Well, I guess this is proof that I am a southern boy for sure....ahhhh....Now, to take whats left of my confederate brain and figure out how to come up with oh,I don't know, $100+k for the car that's over 30 years old! and not go to jail for it.

  • its soo beautiful(crying)!

  • so how much does it cost?

  • stacy david is a legit badass but he never should have left trucks...

  • the exterior is perfect. the supercharger and the stick, kinda ruins it b/c the original bandit was a 400 with an automatic.

  • Comment removed

  • can i have it please i hold the record in 360 degree burnouts in the t.a. ask ran golfnuut

  • Well my '78 is sold...only got $400 out of her..ran & drove too :( '80 with t-top is getting bids now. I'll just have to find one later. In the shape this one is lol

  • i wish mine could run like this but the engine falls on its face when ya gun it

  • Bad acceleration pump in your carb, maybe?

  • favorite car. ever.

  • Cool car, but that guys annoying. Hes not nearly as funny as he thinks he is. Get a sharpie to cover up the evidence. Thats really hilarious. Just talk about the car and stop trying to be a comedian. (I do like the car a lot)

  • i concur.

  • I remember when our county police cars were 77-78 Trans Ams (400 4 speed) I know because I got hauled to the station in one when I was 17 for going 100+ mph in my parents 454 Caprice.(1982) He was actually pretty cool about it, gave me a ticket for 80 mph so I would not lose my license. He did tell my dad how fast I was really going though (115) I think jail may have been better.. I was grounded from car for 6 months lol! Take care Death666wish.

  • i don't see how that's related to either our comments, lol, but nice story non the less. cheers.

  • I guess you're right, sometimes I get carried away with my boring stories from the past when I actually had a life. I just loved that body style Trans Am. I loved those police cars in our county. Thats when those T/A's came out, Bandit movie came out etc. That was my (attempted) point lol. drop me a line sometime Deathwish, Poncho

  • sure thing, i hope one day i'd own a 78 black and gold 400ci with a stick shift, not in the near future though, gotta fix up my '91 first.

  • Amazing car!!

  • he loves that godam sharpie marker

  • Wish i didnt have to get rid of my t-a's. They need restored '78 t-a 400bb, '80 turbo t-a with t-top, '81 turbo t-a. Cant afford to pay my storage bill so i'll probably lose all 3 in the next week or 2. :(

  • I want one!!!!

  • excellent.one of my dreams,to have this car in Greece.

  • import them to europe. 2k dollars.

  • no T/A is perfect unless it has a CB radio

  • true very true

  • How about you keep all the drama in high school and college??

  • so sweet

  • I want it. That car is pure American greatness!

  • i love thises cars

  • this guy looks like John Riitter from threes company hahaha

  • @vegasfilms09

    He's annoying...... enough doughnuts already!

  • Comment removed

  • no your not. that guy is emo or whatever. and doesnt belong near a trans am.

  • nice try, he owns one. xP

  • My statement stands.

  • i bet your really proud.

  • Ok? You're a real winner. I'm sure everyone else here agrees with me.

  • yes i am a winner. you can shut up

  • Good one.

  • Don't you love arguing over the internet?? o_o

  • your fucking retarded!

  • This is the sort of thing that really turns us guys on.

  • That car is about $150K. I called yearone's and spoke to salesman (about a year ago). They said they can turn one around in about 4 months if paid in full by then. I think he said they would need half down to start the build. All of the cars are built from scratch. It is a sick a car. The one in this video is the highest HP version. If you go to yearones website you will see that they have a carbureted version and this LS7 E.F.I with 600HP.

  • Do you know if the LS7 600hp version has a supercharger? The one in this vid doesn't look like it has one. I am just imagining the sick potential of adding a nice supercharger kit with inter-cooler. Awesome car!

  • LarissaWiLd90 Ur such an idiot nobody cares bout ur stupid pics this is CARS!!! idiot

  • I just want to put those wheels on my 78 T/A

  • Who wants to buy a kidney! I want this car!! lol

  • I think I have a new dream car.

  • shame they forgot to fit a cb, which was basically the reason for the film.

  • @phardcare CB is optional :)

  • just got me a new nr 1 dream car:) this is it... my dad have a 78 firebird..

  • year one i want to say you all have my respect

    i got a 77 trans am the S/E edition 400 4-Speed

  • sic car

  • A/C is nice, but on cars like this, it's too much fun riding with the tops off and windows down even on the coldest day.. F-BODIES FOREVER!!!!

  • I saw the concept for the newest Trans Am. It looks ASTOUNDING!!!! but Pontiac went under >:( BRING BACK PONTIAC!!!

  • WTS!! They Modified a Trans Am? Heathens!! That is an afront to the Pontiac gods!!

  • how much would it cost me to build a bandit 3

  • 200k

  • does it have a cb radio?

  • It can have anything you would like!

  • i thought the bandit 3 puts out 750bhp

  • The video may have some inaccuracies.

  • headlamps are ugly, original ones look better

  • The sharpie touch ups are hilarious! One question though, out of all the thousands spent in labor and fabrication why only go with a TKO 5 speed? That car deserves a 6 speed!

  • fuck yeah! i have a mullet wig just for this occasion.
