I have a 1997 Vulcan 800A That looks almost exactly like yours but still has the stock pipes on it, I would love to change them with either Cobra or Vance and Hines and change the air box with the Hyper charger like you did, Yours sounds and looks awsome, mine unfortunately still sounds like a moped. Nice Bike !! Gotta love them Vulcans ............ :-)
has the Hypercharger with K&N filter, vance and hines drag pipes, upgraded to stage 2 jets, has thunder tank mounted ignition, intake and everything is polished, have baron 1.5" drag bars with Baron Tach. and the mirrors are custom also AND I CANNOT FIND WHAT THEY ARE, because i need to replace one.
i have VN800 that i bought a month ago the dealer says in 2000 but i really cant find any thing confirms this ..... my VIN : VN800A - 059077 i really can't decode this ....
@kastolia Im pretty sure that on the front neck of the frame (facing the fron tire) is a decal showing the vin along with the year and model number. check that and lemme know what you find.
Damn it! you bike is fucking awesome!!! I just got a Vulcan 750, it´s a piece of junk right now but I hope to save it... There´s nothing better than a Kawasaki Vulcan
shhhh..i just bought a 2001 vulcan 800 classic..for the steal of $1200. w/ 7700 miles on it.. and the girlfriend doesnt know...yet...it'll be a relationship ender...and no more looking at overpriced HDs
They are something cheap off of ebay, I bought them used off of a guy and have had a little issue with the shifter linkage because my size 14 boots and the fact that I shift pretty hard have led me to beef them up but they are one of the greatest things I've done to it.

@mnza2001 I would definently suggest getting equal length pipes, every bike I hear thats not sounds a little off or sickly.

Do you have quiet baffles in the vance and hines pipes? Come to that...do you have any baffles in the pipes at all?
manicchili 1 year ago
There are no baffles, I think they are called the straight shots, so all they really do is direct the exhaust a little
