  • Thanks for sharing!

  • He is so adorable and profound at the same time.

  • @Cmarl88 it seems simple at the outset but yeah it sounds profound.

  • Love it. Hello to Korean buddhists

    Greetings from Vietnam

  • thank you

  • Beautiful and timeless documentary. Thanks for sharing!

  • Koreans always fight no matter what ..its their nature always fighting ...I see them out drinking together and they always argue and are rough with each other.Just turn on a korean soap opera for 1 minute they will be shouting at each other i guarantee it.

  • Thanks a lot for posting this..!!

  • Seon Buddhism of Korean Buddhism is probably the "Hard-core of all Zen Buddhism".

  • thank you and love you :)

  • i believe that monks that have disciplined their mind r the greatest people cuz they r the wise

i know it is very difficult or almost impossible for me n my family or most of people in this world to leave our lay life n quit everything, abandon everything, train ur mind.

i live in canada n i am not very satisfied with my life i c so much suffering in me n the world.

  • Hello. I have found that if you practice some form of meditation practice for 30 minutes every other day, it can still benefit you enormously. You don't need to abandon your family for spiritual practice or advancement. There are several great spiritual organizations in Canada.

  • aaw i want one

  • When he dies, Seung Sahn Sa-nim is going to hell... to make a Zen center there.

"Wherever you go, make a Zen center there."

    Yes!

  • Love Sahn Sunim. Truly inspiring. He really did want to help all beings and he spent the better part of his life doing that. Wonderful.

  • Thank you for posting this.

  • OHHH Zen Seung Sahn Nim, the sky is blue and the grass is green... Ahhh Seung Sahn Nim!!!!!!!!!!

  • wow... what a guy... Why Is it only Buddhism that creates such people as the Dalai lama & this guy?

  • The best thing to stop thinking would be: kill yourself.

Then you will be doing just one thing: Being dead.

  • If you are just your body that would be true. You kill your body and you die.

What are you? Where is this "I"? What is that?

Those questions may lead to different kind of "death" - death of the illusion of a separate "I".

But again, you got to ask those questions. You got to want to find out. If you are not really interested ... then just forget about it until you suffer enough to start asking those questions. Have fun!

  • if you are just a monk you will have a lot of time to ask these questions.

But others have to produce their food.

Are they doing it without an "I"?

  • Thanks! I've seen this before, but it always helps being reminded!

  • wow im gonna start to do a little of this, do u think weed is a good way to help u meditate? prolly why it's illegal

  • It can help to change your thinking.

  • not at all. Weeds nature of clouding the mind would defeat the purpose. in meditation, one is trying to develop a clear and mindfull state of mind. one of the buddhist precepts is to abstain from intoxicants and drugs

  • i dont know, its not a manmade so i don't consider it a drug, i understand what ur saying, but it doesn't cloud my mind if anything it releases, shrooms are part of the reason why im interested in this. just the thought that we can move things with our mind is reason enough for me to do it.

  • It's ironic but because I tripped so hard on LSD and realized that I don't know who I am.. it led me to Zen, now I do not need drugs.

  • That is interesting, but I don't agree with my original post I made earlier. I do think that it's a drug, whether or not it clouds your mind depends on the person. I also believe that getting into this stuff just to move things with your mind is childish. If anything do it to make yourself a better, healthier person.

  • Very true.. Weed gets me fixated on subjective beliefs of reality.. same with LSD.. I don't get high or trip anymore.

  • Someone gets it!

  • Thank you. This document should see all people.

  • Great ending? Or great beginning?

  • whatever it is its awesome!

  • thank you so much. in gesho.

  • thank you once again, we're grateful for your efforts

  • thank you
