Come on over anytime, but best time of year is Dec thru to May, fishing anywhere from the Bay of Plenty north.

In the States you call them yellowtails, in NZ we use the tougher part of the name - "kingi" as they are certainly tough customers!

Ahh, yes it is!. In New zealand they are called 'Yellow Tailed Kingfish' or 'Kingi' for short and we have the worlds biggest ones (or this species).
