  • Come on over anytime, but best time of year is Dec thru to May, fishing anywhere from the Bay of Plenty north.

  • In the States you call them yellowtails, in NZ we use the tougher part of the name - "kingi" as they are certainly tough customers!

  • Ahh, yes it is!. In New zealand they are called 'Yellow Tailed Kingfish' or 'Kingi' for short and we have the worlds biggest ones (or this species).
