  • =_= Ravens are not Jungle Crows in any way, and they both sound different. And the calls of American Crows, Jungle Crows, and Common Ravens Vary depending on subspecies and location(especially for ravens).

  • @BirdBurnedBlack Thanks for the info

  • @Jawa2lak

You're welcome. ^^; Sorry for going off like that, but it's a pet peeve of mine.

  • house crow? not heard that one before it looks like a jackdaw.

  • @disjoinedchip2 House Crow is a common bird of Asia.

  • @Jawa2lak oh ok.

  • raven - beautiful, house crow - irritating

  • but i think human has disturbed nature.. human settlements favor common crows and so they are a huge pack and other bird species cant survive cuz of them.. they kill a lone owl if it comes by mistake in human settlement.. now thats not fair.. human territory turns into a disadvantage for owl but not for crow.. not fair

  • i have a pair nested in front of my house too... beautiful and fascinating creatures.. very aggressive and focussed.. they dont chase other creatures as needlessly as common crows do.. these crows despite being from same family as common crows.. i find common crows too irksome.. and they are so many... those common crows form a pack of 100 even to chase and kill a chameleon.. i find that annoying..

  • Ravens are tough birds.

  • really good vid, still trying to figure out whether the bird I rescued today is a crow or raven.. hope he gets better soon :-( thanks

  • @mrywace Thanks for the comment and prey for the speedy recovery of the poor bird

  • are they in order? raven then crow?

    -Lily

  • Yes, they are in order. The first one is Raven's call and the second one is House crow's call.

  • it looks like a Raven

  • Yes it is an Indian Raven. The another one is a common House crow.

  • i know this is in india..

am sure this is in india...

  • Yes. You are right.

  • yeah its the same raven i see around my house..when i was in india..

  • very intresting crowcalling-can you tell the latin description for the species you filmed, so i can look it up?

  • Thanks 031doolittle.

    In Latin : Juncitarsus gracillimus

In English: Jungle Crow ( In Zoological term it is called as Corvus macrorhynchos
