However, people should not place all the blame on Imelda. She did not run the country: Ferdinand did. Even when he became ill, he was still alive and could have stopped anything she tried to do. So they were co-conspirators in the destruction and misery of their own country and people. Once cannot exist without the other. Madam Marcos has set-up a lot of livelihood programs for the full time house wives while the men were encouraged to worked in the public works while constructing the whole community. As I have said all the communities were there. We have, schools, hospital clinics, livelihood centers, public market, church, recreation center and multi-purpose halls. Those are the things that I can still remember how Madam Marcos was so sensitive with the poor people. Yes you are right they BAD... based on what?

I am still a Marcos loyalist even my parents. I still remember my dad used to tell me how Filipinos are so organized and discipline during the time of Marcos. They are always telling us how good the government programs for the poor, especially to those Filipinos who live in the slum or squater areas. Back in 1979... from my recollection, Emelda Marcos relocated us in a brand new place in Bulacan named Sapang Palay. It was a fantastic place to live though becuase it has a lot of amenities.
